English League Football [6th - 10th Feb 2010] **spoilers**

They are still in the top 3 and many teams would love to be in that position.

With an injection of new players, I'm sure Arsenal would do almost as well as they did a decade or so ago.

Yes I'm sure they would, but in this day and age Wenger's ways only get you to 3rd at best.

He shows no ambition in the transfer market which is required to compete with the Chelseas and Manchester Uniteds of this world.

He then expects to hold onto his genuinely world class players, who really know deep down he's never going to buy others for them to play with. I actually admire Cesc for putting up with it as long as he has, playing with wastes of space like Denilson and Walcott week in week out.

With an injection of 3-4 ready made, experienced, winning players I'm sure Arsenal would be a massive force - I agree with that. The frustration is though that everyone knows Wenger will never go out and actually buy them. That is the difference between them and the current top two clubs.

I know it's quite a sorry state of affairs, but it's a fact... In this day and age with football how it is, to be one of the best teams in the world you have to get out the cheque book from time to time and supplement the products of your youth system.

Arsenal are lucky that they have a good youth system and are one of the better teams in the world, but it's massively disappointing not to see the truly talented players they have not reach their potential (in terms of winning trophies) due to their manager's stubborn nature.

Could it be that the arsenal kids are only good in the carling cup against poor teams. They do need some new signings. Feels like wenger is waiting for a super player to break through so he can say i told you so.

I seem to have bashed Arsenal all match so far, but fair play to Chelsea they've defended magnificently.

I don't know whether Arsenal should take heart from the fact they've played quite well going forward or whether it's worse that they've played quite well and not even scored.

Given up on all but Arsenals title challenge...why the **** we go to pot when playing against the likes of Man Utd and Chelski is truly beyond me. Wenger needs a good slap around the head if he thinks our current side is good enough to win the Prem title...we just arent that good...we have good players but they are made out of glass ie get injured too quickly and easily:(.

Just simply depressing that we cant compete with Chelski and Man Utd anymore...give it another yr or so and we wont be able to compete with the other sides ie Tottenham, Man City and Liverspuds.

A fairly predictable result for me, although we gave a far better performance than last week.

After the Liverpool game, we have a pretty good run in though, so third should be ours.

If Arsenal lose against Liverpool on Wednesday then they better start looking down the table and not up. The Champions League qualifying race could get quite interesting.
