Absolutely pathetic, and yes, Song at fault for BOTH goals. He's the DM yet spends half his time thinking he's Fabregas, despite getting in THEIR box multiple times he's yet to contribute anything at all. First goal, the classic Song weakness, stand behind him, he simply never, ever checks whats going on behind him, awful marking for corners, pathetic, standing completely still without checking anyone around him or looking for his marker. LIkewise Diaby was standing completely still with no movement and got in Verm's way as Verm tried to cover the run of Terry, Diaby oblivious to whats going on around him as per usual.
2nd goal, Song, playing as our Attacking central mid again, loses the ball deep in Chelsea half, we're caught on the break with no sign of Song anywhere. Not 2 minutes after we conceded and he again runs forward way out of position, contributing nothing but leaving a huge gap in midfield.
Walcott, where to start, I don't think theres anyone on staff at Arsenal that wouldn't have put in a better first half, and I said staff, not playing staff. Tea lady, to Pat rice, no one would have done worse. However Eboue and Bendtner are both far better on the wing than Walcott, whose yet to beat a man, control the ball, make a useful pass or help out defensively(ok, once).
Sagna as per usual for the past 2 seasons hasn't once tried to beat a man, he gets the ball and stops, tries to cross, but can't cross. Again Eboue would try the overlap, beat his man and will get some decent crosses in, aswell as actually try to use his pace, also better defensively.
SO again, 4-5-1, useless, Walcott, useless, Song, Diaby, useless, ARshavin as lone striker, utterly stupid idea and Sagna no where near the player he was in his first season. Almunia should have done more for the 2nd goal , Clichy looking far better than his previous two games, but still not there yet. If we had REAL cover at centre back, and some rotation we'd have a form centre back to put in and let Gallas cover at left back, where he's WAY more than capable and would offer us a great back line in strength against a VERY big team, but no.
As BFCTom said, it takes a bigger man to admit your mistakes, Song, Diaby, Walcott, Denilson, 4-5-1, Silvestre, all HUGE mistakes.
Yet again I'll say Wilshire would have offered more than Walcott today, defensively and offensively, been learning, have a chance to improve, Walcott is dead weight, as good as he'll ever be, which is, barely good enough for non league quality football.
