English League Football ** spoilers ** [11th - 15th September 2010]

Just won £268 from that game with a £5 bet, everton/utd draw, city/rovers draw, brum/pool draw. :)

Funny thing is i would have got around £1500 or so if i put wigan/sunderland as draw which was on my slip but i removed it ah well happy anyway.

How crap are Liverpool lol. Can't even win against a poor Birmingham.

They have no chance of a title shot, and maybe even Top 4 finish.

Dreadful.

FT. 0-0

While I agree that we were pants, calling Birmingham poor is pretty harsh. Top half finish last year, unbeaten against the top 4, solid defense, strong midfield. If Liverpool are the only "big" side to go there and not win I'll be shocked.

Liverpool need to drop the super defensive attitude and start risking things and using more attacking players.

Meireles looked fast and did some decent passing when he was on even though it was hard to tell.

They have a decent team and should not be in the bottom half of the table.

Who u calling Birmingham poor I think Liverpool are the definition of poor after 2days display, blues got there tattics stop on, Liverpool were lucky just to get a point and that's thanks to reina.

Arsenal killed them 3-1 last year. Or you mean at home?

If any team wants to win the title, they should be beating teams like Birmingham. Liverpool have lost something special in their team.

A poor Birmingham? Really? They havent lost a home game in 16 games, are unbeaten for the season so far and are now 5th in the table...

Happy with a point actually, Birmingham have only lost two home games in the league since the start of last season.

I agree, we need to give him a chance rather than Aquilani him. I hope that when Joe Cole comes back things will be different, but I'm not sure.

Reina

Kelly--Carra--Skrtel--Konchesky

Johnson--Meireles/Lucas--Gerrard--Cole

Torres--Kuyt

Who won the title last year? What was their result at St. Andrews?

I agree that Liverpool have lost something special and there is no way we will win the league, but of the teams outside the top 6 or 7, Birmingham is comfortably the hardest place to go and win.

Not really much to say about that...poor, dull, unadventurous and severely lacking in creativity.

4 matches played and we are already 3 matches (assuming wins) behind Chelsea.

Never liked the idea of signing Poulsen and I've not seen anything from him yet to change my mind. Dont see what he brings to the team other than fulfilling the almost Pompey-like fascination we're developing with signing old players.

I'm frankly expecting Utd to absolutely tear us to shreds next week.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd, and Liverpool all drew at Birmingham last season. Didn't seem to stop Chelsea winning the title though.....

Today's

And when I said Birmingham "poor". Their display was poor today.

I really hope Aston Villa beat Stoke. Really want Stoke to be relegated. Horrible team. Thugs.

Come on Villa!

Must've been watching a different game, Birmingham were very good today and the only reason they didnt win it is because of Reina.

I agree, they would have probably had 2-3 definite goals if it wasn't for him.

Liverpool are still needing to settle, although it's a pretty slow start. I think once Cole is back it'll help on the creativity side. I don't mind Poulsen, he looks unfit/rusty though.

Agreed, not quite sure where the idea that Liverpool should have thrashed them has come from. They plaayed some decent stuff today.

though on the other hand, it could have turned out very differently if the referee awarded Liverpool a penalty, and sent the player off.

Crap performance but reasonable result. I thought the ref was as bad as our performance too; got countless small decisions wrong for both sides and I still can't understand how we didn't get the penalty for the foul on Torres.

Hopefully once Meireles has bedded in we can drop Poulsen and once Cole's back he can take Jovanovic's place too. As it is we lack any sort of imagination in midfield.
