English League Football ** spoilers ** [21st - 23rd August 2010]

Pleat will settle on a way of pronouncing Jonas' name in a minute, he has be Jonas, Honas, and his latest baffling choice is Onas.

the games over, i dont see villa scoring 3 or more.

No I dont either, its their own fault they are three down, the newcastle goals are entirely a result of their comical defending.

They have plenty of possession, but going forward other than young, they look positively pedestrian, and that is concerning considering they are up against a similarly bad back four.

I don't really think that, both teams could have scored 4-5 goals already, both are playing WAY to open attacking football, Young was miles onside and though everyone had stopped I think he would have scored anyway, awful awful call as it wasn't a couple inches, he was a yard onside and it was a god damned fantastic pass through to him. Penalty scored and had that been a goal, I can see Villa definately having similar chances second half, if they keep leaking goals it won't matter though.

Good game to watch though.

Premiership is getting better again, last season saw attacking football make a big comeback with several top teams like Chelsea pretty much ditching 4-5-1, and more importantly lots of the bottom teams playing 4-4-2, attacking football, often getting completely smashed but because the games were more open they were SOOOO much better to watch than 10 men behind the ball everytime a bottom 8 club played a top 6 club. The league went through 4-5 years were all out attack was rarely seen and 4-5-1 became very common if not the most used formation.

Last year was a big change, and this year teams seem to be more practiced at it, Chelsea/Drogba improved last year and improved even more this year, they've played two crap teams and its not way higher scoring than similar games last year, but the football is so much more fluid and good to watch.

wooooo great result for the toons!

Bartons goal was blinding. Villa do look good going forward which is a bit nervy even at 3-0 up got to hope they dont score as its going to be a bit tense.

Great start to the season for newcastle at home though.

People took the **** when you said they were too big for the Championship but 3rd highest average attendance in all of England says it dont it really.

i think your forgetting, they have lost martin oneill, they are away from home and are 3 down.

yet you still think they can win? can you tell me what your daily diet is? or do the nurses not tell you?

bookies are offering 13/1 for a draw and 26/1 for a villa win, you should think of maybe sticking some cash down then.

Football's a funny game.

Last season, iirc Spurs were 3 up against United and won.

You shouldn't write teams off, Spurs came back midweek and could easily of been 3-3 :)
