English League Football ** spoilers ** [21st - 23rd August 2010]

Didn't think I would watch a Liverpool performance as bad as our defeat to Portsmouth last season for a long time but that was worse :(

West Brom will be a massive game on Sunday. Club, manager and players need a big win.
 
Ooft, long season ahead for Liverpool, gonna take a while to get used to Hodgson's methods, especially with the team he has 'inherited'.

Because we had a significantly better manager then we do now?
I like Roy as a person, but sorry he fails at managerial skills.
Fulham last year got to the EL final thanks to a LOT of luck and some individual skill which he has no control over.

By the way - you only concede when zonal marking.

Luck? Not THAT much, we had a lot against us too.

Hodgson has a strict system training wise, and it'll take a while for that to gel, it took probably half a season to a season, and then it all worked wonders. He hasn't exactly got a lot of options to play with, especially in the style he likes anyway. It might develop throughout the season for you.

Doesn't help when your best player is out of form, and another one doesn't want to play :p
 
Not really harsh though is it?
What has he achieved really? he steadied the ship with Inter and improved their league position, slightly, in a league which only really consisted of both the Milan teams and Juve in terms of quality.
I have never rated him since we signed, sorry, got given him, and have seen nothing to prove me wrong.
 
Better get him sacked then, I mean two games into the season and they haven't won the league yet? Jeez. He's ****.
 
I dont think we can blame roy for anything yet, I was glad to see rafa go however i didnt think any manager would turn it around quickly.

We as a club are a mess at the moment the owenership etc imo shouldnt effect players but it either is or the passion isnt their still if so another long pap season yes its only two games in but so much of that game was very similiar to last season
