In fairness, Liverpool are lucky to even get a manager like Hodgson imo. Liverpool are in a lot more trouble than it looks, and he's shown character in actually accepting the challenge. It will take quite a while for it all to settle, and him to actually develop the players he's got considering he hasn't got much money to work with. Give it some time at least.

Bias perhaps, but pretty much all of the results were down to sheer hard work on Fulham's part. They were unlucky with some of the results, especially the Roma games, and numerous ridiculous decisions throughout the competition.

Even making it that far with the squad we have deserves credit alone, if you look at the starting 11, how many were 'reserves' at their last clubs?

And prepared to work with what he has, which he does very well. It might take a while but he turns players around, look at Gera, Pantsil, Zamora, Etuhu, Duff (moreso recently), Hughes to an extent.

We looked just as bad as you for the first 4-6 months, then the system started to work.

At least he's giving the challenge a go, knowing the fact he has no say at all in transfers/what the hell is going on.

Whilst the likes of City are buying top talent, we'r shipping out players left, right and center, not re-investing the cash that gets generated (Well okay, we invest like 25% of it), and buying 30 year olds who couldnt even get a game in a poor Searie A side.

Okay I agree owners need to go as much as every one else but it doesnt give our player the excuse to perform the way they are no matter how bad they may be.

Your representing the club you should always give your best regardless i appriciate every one has off days like any one else ours are just too dam often >.<

Torres has been banging on about strengthening the squad for years and we've done the complete opposite and look like weakening ourselves further before the window closes. Wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in January.

I'd would have loved to have heard the string of false promises and lies they fed him to stay. I think he lacks ambition anyway and prefers to be a big fish in a small pond so to speak.

He's absolute quality and I'd love to see him at a team with better players around him in much the same way as I think Shearer was wasted at Newcastle, Torres is selling himself short as well.

The system requires players we dont actually have. And have nothing to invest in the squad to make it happen.
Square pegs, round holes.

Our squad screams 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, yet he goes away to an up and coming team and plays 4-4-2 with no width at all (we have one wide player in GJ thats it), in a system which relies on width.

We've looked in trouble for years though. The only difference now is we have a manager that both the media and most supporters like so the attention has shifted to the owners.

We looked just as bad as you for the first 4-6 months, then the system started to work.

Big difference between fighting to stay in the Premiership and fighting for a European place. We simply can't afford to look as bad as a relegation candidate did.

No you have the style of players, I guess the only one you're missing is the bigger man up front really.

Time will tell what happens, personally I wouldn't care if Liverpool flopped completely, but Hodgson is too good of a manager for that to happen too, so hopefully the results start to show soon enough.

Yup, unfortunately unlike many clubs your problem isn't majorly the players/manager, it's the **** you have for a board

Tell me, what are these players you speak of? I seriously cannot think of anyone in our team which suits a 4-4-2.
Regardless of what the media thinks, Gerrard is not a CM, not anymore. It was partially his fault for not tracking Barry which lead to the first goal. Everytime he is in the middle he shuts off and we get punished.
We have no good combo of strikers to play up top, and Torres plays terribly bad with a strike partner.
We have no pacy wide players who offer width, everyone cuts inside (ala 4-3-3 4-2-3-1)
