English League Football ** spoilers ** [24th - 28th September 2010]

This season's been weird. The only two results I'd have picked were the Liverpool draw (although I wouldn't have seen it being 2-2) and Blackpool losing. The other ones are just whacky.

When did Darren Bent last play against us and not score by the way?

But enough about Liverpool...

That was one of the worst performances I've seen for quite some time. The way we played in the last 5 or 10 minutes with that amount of intensity is the way we should have played for the entire game. We were an absolute joke at times, Almunia responsible for at least 2 of the 3 goals and our only other option is Fabianski it seems. Wenger need to take his head out of his ass and give Szczesny a go. Maybe then we would have had a point or three instead of conceding two soft goals. Sort.It.Out.

There have been some strange results this season. Spurs very hit and miss, would never have expected them to lose against West Ham and Arsenal losing against West Brom is such a freak result. All in all a great day. :p
 
Everything was second best today, but it was an odd one. Irrespective of how well they defended they too offered little in the final third. Until that is - we gift them two goals in a few minutes, which effectively ended the game. I still maintain they didn't deserve to win by that alone, but they did, fair play to them.

The nature of two of the goals as well was very annoying. Wenger has to now see 3 goals in two games by our keepers isn't good enough. Suddenly when we're talking about a number of points throughout the season and the possibility of being knocked out of cup competitions that £4m for Schwarzer doesn't look too much.

Once again the formation changes when we're down and ****ed and we start looking more threatening. Very poor as a team that.

I thought we'd still have the nous to beat Brom today but apparently not. God knows what will happen in E Europe and of course it's Chelsea next weekend. Great.

COME ON UNITED! When all of your title rivals drop points you need to make sure you do the business in your game.

See, even when Chelsea come up against midtable mediocrity they can struggle.

No, and I don't feel Roy is getting anything near the best out of the squad. 4-5-1 against Sunderland at home, please not good enough.

I'm not bitter, it was the truth. Yet again we fail to perform with perfectly able players, just look at the last 15mins, it was all arsenal. Why didn't we do that after going 1-0 down, or even 2-0 down? It's the little games we lose like this that ruin our season year after year. Yet again Chelsea opens the floor for us to catch up and we fail to capitalise against a promotion team at home!

Props to west brom, despite playing spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal they're in 5th place, a point behind united (GIH), arsenal and city.
