English League Football ** spoilers ** [24th - 28th September 2010]

Your team are not good enough to be top 4, wake up and see it please.
Who's mentioned top 4?

With the team you have you have the right manager for the job.
Wrong. With the owners we have we have the right man for the job. The team deserve far better.

Until you can mount a serious challenge be prepared to see more of this because lets be honest the team is **** poor and you're not far off the right position in the league.
We finished 7th last season. If 15th isn't far off our right position with Torres and Gerrard fully fit there's no one to blame other than Hodgson.

The comments about his remarks being right for Fulham and not Liverpool is pony, Fulham are the same level as you.
So we're at the same level as Fulham and have their old manager. Not hard to see why we're now at their level is it?

and Sunderland played well by the way..it wasnt all down to Liverpools poor effort

and the ref was poor for both teams

Hodge said again, judge him after 10 games.
Well - news flash, he's had 11! If he wants to 'forget' the other games, fine by me, but it makes his record look even worse!
1. FK Rabotnicki - Played like a team still in pre-season (And we were) won.
2. Arsenal - A bit unlucky
3. Trabzonspor - Massivly lucky to come away with a 1-0 here, played terrible.
4. Man City - Lets not even go there
5. Trabzonspor - Played poor, very poor, got the result though.
6. WBA - Won by the skin of our teeth, played badly again.
7. Birmingham - Played badly, got a draw.
8. Steaua - Only one real good result so far!
9. Man Utd - Heart was there, tried, but tactics were terrible.
10. Northampton - Do i have to explain this?
11. Sunderland - Again .. played awful.

Its not pretty reading

Anything but a convincing (And i mean, convincing) win against blackpool and the fans will truly turn i fear. Not that he has to worry about his job, afterall he only got the job to be a yes man and get on with it.

Stupid Arsenal, but West Brom had a good game, well played to them. They are quite good at the counter attack game, but Arsenal were playing poorly until the last 10 minutes.

Grrrr Arsenal again dropping points to teams that we shouldnt be dropping points too:(...2 games in a row that we have dropped points...make it three next week as i highly doubt we will beat Chelski next weekend.

Damn you Wenger why cant you see that Almunia is pure utter garbage!!!...FFS when we had a chance to sign a GK we didnt..

Stupid Arsenal losing at home to WBA.

Strange day. To be honest i had a hunch on west brom, but cat in hells chance i would have repeated it with arsenals home record, and ignoring why they might not rack up a score due to the players missing the game.

Good day to watch though, chelsea/city.

The defensive work by city in their final third realy was a masterclass. Everything about the off the ball positioning was spot on, everytime a player moved to face up to a chelsea with the ball, there were 2/3 players covering the forward angles. impressed the **** out of me.

You do all of that with the individual ability players like kompany, yong and boyata have in the powers of recovery, you have your 1-0 in a game like today.

Well done to them.

Great weekend so far for Man Utd, well done Man City on an effective game plan against Chelski.

Liverpool were nearly majorly embarrassed today I have to say, thank god they managed to haul a point back.

And what on earth happened to Arsenal  :p

We had better beat Bolton tomorrow, bad mistakes were made last season when it came to closing the gaps and capitalising on things like this.

Thank god Kamara is coming back to fitness. First half today was woeful attacking wise, natural midfielders as strikers, always back to goal. As soon as Eddie Johnson came on it looked a lot better.

Just seen Joe Cole in my local chippy with his mate. It seems fish suppers are part of Roy's training regime now..

Isn't is Ancelotti who doesn't care what his players eat (within reason)? Something like pizza etc.

See, even when Chelsea come up against midtable mediocrity they can struggle.
:/...midtable?
I am not sure about 'Pool, Hodgson is a good manager, they have decent players but the behind the scenes shambles must be making a huge impact which could say something about the players eg dont handle pressure etc because utd are in a similar position and they seem to do well either way.

So Chelsea fall at their first real hurdle; are they still the be all and end all now?

Thought City were quite impressive today, very good defensively didn't give Chelsea a sniff and going forward the front players linked a lot better than they have previously.... apart from Milner who was utter garbage.

City will still drop points against the lesser teams though and ultimately wont be a threat to the title but hey thanks for taking points off of our only real challengers ;)

If that annoys you, you must be the most annoyed kid going.
Not at all after todays result :)
But when someone says your team is mid table when we have beaten everyone in the top 4 at least once inside 2yrs and have one of the strongest if not the strongest team in the prem then your bound to be annoyed?
and god Almunia is terrible, at fault for all 3/4 (pen) goals.

tbh going away to City its a tough place, they have between Chelsea and Liverpool at home this season.
