English League Football ** spoilers ** [30th October - 2nd November 2010]

No

And even if it was 12 from our last 12, we've still only got 12 points from 10 games.

No idea where I heard that then. At least you're winning at last, if you get another few wins on the bounce it's just a slow start, there's always a good side struggling for the first few weeks, Everton nearly every year!

I have to say, I laughed mightily hard when I watched Gallas having another tantrum on Saturday, jumping and stamping on the grass. Fun times. Another goal and assist for Nani, god he's rubbish. :p

Goodbye for another several months SA!

o/

Where be you going? Where has JG gone, Loki, Ripper, etc. I'm glad to see OneMoreSolo posting more often here now. :)

Or maybe you've all found another wee sordid grief hole in some corner of the interwebs to talk football. :p

At least untie MrG so he can come back.

I have no idea where he is tbh dude, probably one of these reasons why this place has gone to pot :/

Please do :p

:p You love my abuse really Tummy!

I've not gone anywhere mate, I just don't bother posting here anymore as I seem to be the only one that is heavily moderated, if I can't say what I want then what's the point in posting?

My latest 2 week suspension was because I called someone a "sad little man"

Final straw really, pointless me continuing to post with that kind of crap :)

Have fun and I'll pop back further down the line to have a laugh :)

Look at where United were in 1989 and where they are now

That Nick is continuous improvement.

In fact, I may even tell you what I really think of you at some point Nick seeing as I don't post here anymore anyway.

look at where UTD were 3 years ago. compare to where they are now. and the relative strength of the squad. who's improving sorry?

the Van der Vaart story goes like this: Ajax youth to almost -> 1 goal in 2 games prodigy.

then big money move to hamburg SV, after again, 0.39 goals to game.. you know that berbatov only had 0.44...in the same league...

Then we miss out on him and he goes to real for a HUGE bargain fee of $13mill (euros). Yes he doesnt get as good a game at real, but then we see more glimpses at the world cup. But of course, Mystec Fergie hasnt got his scout reports to hand from 2-3 years before. Probably because we werent interested in him when he was hot.

and being mystic fergie knew that the last thing we were looking for was a creative, goalscoring centre midfielder who can pass.... having a youthful looking scholes and an england first teamer, Carrick, it was obvious that we had strength in this position and that buying a proven article after missing out on the turkish german would have been big mistake.

OMG... im just SO....bothered...thats what i love about your posting style. as soon as the facts elude you, you have to go all personal - really living up to your username/

LoL :D

Yep he really was a talent if the only club looking to sign him were a mid table German team :/

I agree we should have bought Ozil before we went for Carrick, oh hang on a second, he wasn't even in the first team back then and was only showing promise in a below par German League but whatever it's pointless arguing with you.

As for the rest of your **** reply, I gave you ample opportunity to email me away from the forums to continue your BS responses and not clog up the forums, but you didn't

Is it only me Nick that rises to your utter BS? Or is it every other United fan and others that can see you're talking out of your arse?

Should your username be changed to utter ****ing ****hole so we all have an apt username?

Don't bother replying, I won't :)

Hamburg were upwardly mobile as i remember?

"Hamburg

By now his performances were attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs. He had previously been strongly linked to AC Milan, but in the summer of 2005 he signed for Bundesliga outfit Hamburg SV. . Van der Vaart's €5.5 million transfer to Bundesliga club Hamburger SV, on 1 June 2005,[11] raised many eyebrows. Many other top-flight clubs had shown interest in the midfielder but he chose Hamburg. The Ajax legend Johan Cruyff himself commented in his De Telegraaf column, "I don't know what to say about it or what Rafael van der Vaart is doing in Hamburg."[10] He played a massive part in Hamburg’s impressive away form that season, scoring in each of their first four games on the road; in fact, in the course of his first one and a half seasons with the German club, they did not lose a single match away from home while he was on the pitch. Van der Vaart finished his first season as the team's top scorer as Hamburg finished third in the league and won the 2005 UEFA Intertoto Cup. "

ripped from Wiki, but if you'd at least read up before commenting, it might help you to make more logical sense.

So not only was it a surprise that he moved there, he chose to. and then became the top scorer for the club from midfield.

and then he was clearly in poor form:

"In October 2008, Van der Vaart was one of the many La Liga players to be nominated for the Ballon d'Or "

hm. teribble player. definitely should not have been on fergies radar.

I agree we should have bought Ozil before we went for Carrick, oh hang on a second, he wasn't even in the first team back then and was only showing promise in a below par German League but whatever it's pointless arguing with you.

No, thats why its pointless talking to you. i never said we should have bought Ozil instead of the Carrick. The carrick deal was already done years ago.

I said that KNOWING we have only Carrick and Scholes as senior central midfielders, i.e not instead of but inspite of them.... and given that Scholes doesnt have the benefit of Youth and that as Carrick lacks the benefit of ability - BOTH positions in the first team should have been up for grabs. Clearly, im a fan of Anderson, but he isnt where Van der Vaart is skill or impact wise atm. And Fletcher needs 2 men with him to be effective and Gibson? kthxbye.

But of course, you will go on to say that no - our central midfield isnt in a right mess? and that ozil, NOR vdV would have been a hugely influential addition to our squad, for bargin basement prices.

Because fergie is the best, did you not know? he isnt a clairvoyant. How was he supposed to know that Carrick would be lucky to get a game vs Wolves in the legue cup? or that our season would be carried by Nani and ... Berbatov?

Should your username be changed to utter ****ing ****hole so we all have an apt username?

:D

ah so are you waiting to leave to tell me what you think or are you giving it all up on the 51st date?

have you ever gotten out of bed and though, ill try and go a day without swearing? or without getting wound up? you might find that one small lifestyle change can make a big difference to your life.

Nickg has dragged G|mp back in.

He hasn't at all :)

It's pointless arguing with him he's a ***** who likes to pick and choose what he quotes to back up his own argument.

I dread to think what it would be like if he supported any other team :/

Have fun yall :)

yea its pointless arguing if your argument is so full of fail that you have to swear and insult the other person out of said argument.

if instead maybe you;d listen? be prepared to accept that every decision fergie makes isnt always the optimal one, then maybe you wouldnt work yourself up so much.

JFW signed a new contract :D :D :D

So happy to sign new long term contract at the club I love! Hopefully for some trophys now!

Jack Wilshere added: "Arsenal Football Club has been like a second home for me and my family since I was nine years old. To be offered a new contract means everything to me.

"At this point in my career, when I'm only 18 years old and still learning so much about the game and myself, this is the perfect club, the perfect team-mates, the perfect fans, the perfect backroom staff and most importantly, the perfect manager to help continue that.

"I've got a long way to go before I can become the player I dream of becoming and I'm sure I'll keep making the odd mistake, but it is a massive help for me having a special manager like Arsène Wenger and so many quality team-mates and the unbelievable Arsenal fans around me. I believe there is a lot more to come from me.

"I've been at the Club for almost ten years already, so I would like to thank everyone that has been part of getting me this far, especially people like Liam Brady, Roy Massey and all his staff at the Hale End Academy. Also Neil Banfield, Steve Bould, Academy Coach Steve Leonard, Academy Scout Bob Arber, Assistant Head of Youth Development David Court, all the backroom staff, Arsène Wenger, all my team-mates and, of course, my family."

Everyone at Arsenal Football Club is looking forward to Jack's continued contribution in the forthcoming years.

Putting to bed the idea that you need to **** off your fans, club and manager to get the contract you want, all you need to do is play well. Amazing.

Tonights game should be great!

Blackpool - West Brom should be very high scoring.

Think I'm going to stick £2 on 2-2, 3-2, 2-3, 3-3, 3-4

Right so,
The teams falling apart and Mancini is being sacked! (Not my view!!!)
Now i don't know what has been happening behind the scenes but something has happened because we have gone from a solid world class performance against Chelsea to being ran ragged against Wolves. The team either needs to go on a team building course at the local conference centre or some players have to leave. Mancini i think can become a top manager at City but unless he wins back the team it is over for him.
We are sitting 4th atm and i cant complain really but i hope we can get together for next week against West Brom who if we perform anything less than the Chelsea game will win and please please give us a win against utd.

god you guys know how to get yourself into an 'it's a crisis!' frenzy don't you? bloody fickle and prone to flights of fancy.

I think i've skirted the odd suspension since G|mp left! I've noticed my temper fraying.

Okay just set my bets as follows with what I'd win in return.

Blackpool 5-2 West B (£264)
Blackpool 3-2 West B (68)
Blackpool 4-3 West B (162)

West B 3-2 Blackpool (£52)
West B 4-3 Blackpool (£101)

Blackpool 2-2 West B (£22)
