Yeah I agree, it cannot have helped Sorenson's confidence much knowing Pulis was ready to bring in a keeper who wants first team football for the rest of the season to try and get a spot in the WC squad.
 
The deal for David James broke down because Portsmouth wanted Stoke to pay James wages until the end of June despite him only coming to Stoke until the end of the season ie May 9th. I would not be surprised if the deal is resurrected before the window closes although I would rather Stoke splashed the cash (the chairman has loads) on a creative midfield player. The speculation may have affected Sorenson today but he really should have done better with the free kick.
 
for you people saying about the James affair here is some facts. We are looking at brining in someone short term becuase Bayern Mucnich are trying to sign Sorensen. Its nothing to do with him not been good enough or any other rubbish you have heard. We are just covering just incase soro leaves.
