English League Weekend Football 8-12th January *spoilers*

Campbell back to arsenal and senderos out the door

Campbell has been training with arsenal ever since he left notts county so makes sense

Birmingham: Hart, Carr, Roger Johnson, Dann, Ridgewell, Larsson, Ferguson, Bowyer, McFadden, Jerome, Benitez. Subs: Maik Taylor, Martin Taylor, Phillips, Fahey, McSheffrey, Queudrue, Parnaby.
Man Utd: Kuszczak, Rafael Da Silva, Brown, J Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, Park, Rooney. Subs: Amos, Neville, Owen, Anderson, Giggs, Fabio Da Silva, Diouf.

EXTREMELY worried. God knows how we'll play after last weekend.

Christ, what is he thinking with that team.

That doesnt need answering, he knows Brum have the legs on them over ever position in the pitch so he is packing the midfield.

Thats whats its come to, going away to mid table teams and trying to stop them playing.
What a joke.

Mame Diouf on the bench, hope he gets 10-15 minutes at the end so we can see his touch. im praying hes something special, we need another special player to win the league in my opinion.

berbaflop sadly just stalls man utd as an attacking side without ronaldo in there.

3-1 rooney double would be my guess.

Anyway. I think we will happily take a point away from this game. Unlucky Everton. :D

I said I think we have the SQUAD, but don't think we can win the title. This is because Wenger plays people I think aren't good enough while we have better players on the bench, infact we have a massive array of options, we also play the wrong formation and very often wait far to late to change players having a bad game.

THe number of times in the last 18 months we've been playing awfully, looking like conceding and make 2/3 subs directly after we concede is a joke, if we simply made those needed changes, we might not concede, but he's always waiting that extra 5 minutes just incase magically the game turns around, occasionally it does, but percentage wise, more often it doesn't so the smart move is the change when its required, not when its too late.

If Everton had some more pace, they'd have killed us, Pinear isn't even particularly fast, just a well timed run and a completely awol defence with only Nasri running him down who is also lacking a little pace. Where Traore was, why he didn't start running earlier and why he gave up so easily I don't know.

The real issue I have with Traore is he's more of an attacking left back than defensive one so you could forgive being slightly less good defensively if he was great going forwards, but he offers no threat going forwards in the least. Silvestre's put in more good crosses(surprisingly good actually) when he actually gets forwards in his few appearances and may lack a little pace, but reads the game a whole lot better than Traore, isn't outmuscled like a little girl and though bad on his last appearance actually had two superb performances in the previous 2 games.

It was so nice last week when DM wasn't posting, now he's posted 20 times in one thread :(

Not seen any of the game, but sounds like we were lucky to get a draw, 2 points dropped :(

So yet again we draw with another team that we should have spanked...sums up our season really...cant beat teams consistently...like **** we are going to win the title...i think thats a bit of stretch...we havent got the squad although if we had RVP fit then id say our chances of winning the title would be better than they are now.

Desperately need to win our game in hand now...should have buried Everton today but our shoddy defence again lets the side down along with our non existant crappy attack.

lol, I remember several Gooners on here seeing Ramseys maybe second performance of the season and saying Fabregas can smeg off and we can get he money, we've got his replacement already... talk about opinions based on a single match. He's very good but not close to as good as Fabregas and it would be a hard ask for him to be. Most people ignore how much hard and very good work he does defensively aswell, he makes loads of interceptions and if you watch every game he's frequently sitting deeper than the rest of the midfield for large portions of a game.

He often sits back, helps us establish complete control and then clicks on the afterburners and starts making dangerous runs forward when they aren't ready for him.

Ramsey is great, a very good back-up and some prem teams would probably take him as a first choice CM, but no replacement. Cesc's movement is what sets him apart, during matches I often just watch him and his movement, he's always running somewhere intelligent and always in the right place. He works very hard to be as good as he is and his relentless work rate helps cover up his lack of pace as he's already in great positions when he gets the ball, he rarely needs pace to get him out of trouble.

Bit harsh, Everton didn't only work incredibly hard, they were assured when they had the ball. Everton aren't a rubbish team and on their day (today) they are incredibly hard to beat and would give anybody a good game. It's no coincidence that they've finished 5th the most recently, they're a good team with a great manager. On a day when they're playing well and Arsenal aren't, a draw is good, no team in the prem would have spanked Everton today

well done Man Utd, didnt kick the ball out of play when it clearly wasnt a head injury. well done by the ref too.

was a foul by scholes but its good to see them not stopping the play for a simple injury.
