English League Weekend Football 8-12th January *spoilers*

Without Van Persie I don't see you having the quality upfront to win the league, also unless Fabregas continues scoring as he has been (which would be some acheivment), I can't see you keeping up with Chelsea and Man Utd.

All three played in the villa game and they did well. I would consider Villa decent.

I am sure you do support your TEAM in your own way. I dont recall you ever saying we are going to win the league with this team though.

It could just be the way I read your posts but they always seem very negitive and depressing when you view your thoughts on Arsenal.

That's because I can't see us winning the league, its that simple, we have the squad and don't play our best formation or players and do nothing to build the confidence of players, little to no rotation, which has screwed us every year when injuries occur, Gallas and Toure, our backup had zero form and was part of the reason we were trashed so badly at the end of the year.

So lucky to be in with a shout of a point, but while Everton aren't as bad as they were earlier, they aren't that good either and we still can't beat them.

He's out for the season I thought?

I would assume he means Fabregas, I love RVP and have always rated him as a top top player but Fabregas is one of the top few players in the world, RVP isn't that far behind but Fabregas means more to our team than RVP. Keeping in mind we've been scoring at the same rate without RVP but struggle badly without Fabregas.

Fantastic game, loved that. A win would have been good but considering the injuries and the nature of the game, a draw was a good result, Everton played well. Still, one of the most entertaining games of the season

We really really need to dip into the market this month.

Like now.

WE need a CB unquestionably, or for Senderos to have some games and maybe get some form, and a DM now more than ever(actually about the same as ever but Wenger might just be desperate enough to get one now).

If Wenger decides to rely on Diaby as our DM till Song's back, oh well, the idea of the title was fun while it lasted.

Fabregas is brilliant, his absence can't be masked, you can't replace him. The best you can do is have RvP/Arshavin both playing well to cover him, but that's impossible atm

Fergie has gone with a 4-5-1, cos that always works so well for us.

lol, Berbatov getting a start as a lone frontman by chance? When he does get to start it always seems to be in a formation that he's the least suited for with the players around him that don't work well.

Ok Berbatov in a 4-5-1 was actually good with Rooney/Ronaldo as wingers/wide strikers, he'd play them in brilliantly, but any other setup was laughable.

Wenger said a few weeks ago he might have to go into the market if Fabregas or Denilson have problems, now both of them are having problems I expect him to get somebody in by the end of the week

lol, I remember several Gooners on here seeing Ramseys maybe second performance of the season and saying Fabregas can smeg off and we can get he money, we've got his replacement already... talk about opinions based on a single match. He's very good but not close to as good as Fabregas and it would be a hard ask for him to be. Most people ignore how much hard and very good work he does defensively aswell, he makes loads of interceptions and if you watch every game he's frequently sitting deeper than the rest of the midfield for large portions of a game.

He often sits back, helps us establish complete control and then clicks on the afterburners and starts making dangerous runs forward when they aren't ready for him.

We'll see. We're not even really properly linked with somebody. Last year it was clear that we were interested with Arshavin but this year nobody.

Nope Rooney, with Park and Valencia flanking him. Berbatov has been dropped completely.
