"Enter Shikari"

Wow..... and who cares about fashion?

I like The Black Dahlia Murder, Lamb Of God and other metal stuff and Im a big fan of BMTH, who gives a crap what they look like

Oh yea, I think ES are poor.

I wish they hadn't got all cool and popular cause they don't play the little venue anymore? What's that got to do with fashion haha?

BMTH are a joke of a band tbh. its goddamn fashioncore with poor lyrics sung poorly over bad instrumentals. I see zero appeal.
If they weren't pretty, they'd be nowhere.

Ill agree to disagree that im right.

wtf is fashioncore. Sung? Its screamed and growled, his range of vocals are awesome... if you get me.

Espescially when I here that guy from Deicide, he sounds....... crap.

What bands do you like out of interest?

fashioncore (or fashcore where i live) is where bands influence your opinions, dress sense, Urband Dictionary has a pretty good definition.

I'm going to see Enter Shikari soon, but only because bands never play where I live and this is the best that'll come down for ages, they have one good song, the rest suck. I hate when people are all pretentious and call them "Trancecore", they're not trancecore, they have a guy that plays keyboard, they're about as much Trance as Dream Theater are Trance and Dream Theater aren't trance

Yea bands influence my opinion, with there music, I couldn't care less if they wore king kong outfits on stage, actually I've seen a Black Dahlia Murder clip on youtube where they were all wearing Hawaiian beach stuff, and the opening music was the beach boys or something, was funny stuff.

lol at trancecore, silly genres.

I've seen bmth live a few times and dont like them. I dont think they are very talented. Without looking nice they'd be nowhere.
Also, ollie sykes was kicking about in my local haunt a while back and he seems a bit of a tool. He comes across the same way in interviews too.

Fashioncore is stuff thats trying to be heavy or hardcore in a fashionable way. Like when you'd see a 15 year old girl in a cannibal corpse tee that she'd clearly never listened too. Like, the kids seem to wanna be heavy metal now and bands like bmth capitalise on it by being heavy but also good looking and poster/magazine friendly. If that makes sense? They rely heavily on image basically.

I like loads of stuff really:
Stuff like cannibal corpse and deicide to throwdown and comeback kid to horse the band to mogwai.

Saw parkway drive, on broken wings and carpathian last week and chilled out with the guys afterwards (Edge partys are pretty boring haha). And I love all those. Especially parkway.

Seeing job for a cowboy and unearth and dispised icon in a week or 2.

Killswitch and the haunted last month.

Top played in my itunes is slayer/log/casey jones/blood has been shed/etc

So it's fairly varied. Theres a pretty much complete list of bands on my myspace if you can be bothered reading. You'll probs like most of em.
It is /A5HB

That reply is longer than I meant it to be haha. I am tired.

hehe, nice explanation cheers :)

I see what you mean but I do believe them about not caring about there image, they've dressed like that since before they were in the band but who knows eh.

Im seeing them again in April with IKilledThePromQueen, should be good.

To prove your point even more about the image thing, I looked at a girls profile on myspace which I linked to from BMTHs, and her list of bands she liked included:

BMTH
Busted
Son Of Dork
Fightstar
Mcfly

I was like :o I jumped to the conclusion that she doesn't really care to much about the actual music, what do you think lol?

A5H - Have you seen that Casey Jones are doing their first ever European show at a hardcore festival in Germany. With The Warriors too! Amazing! There's some right cack playing too (e.g. BMTH), but those two are worth it. £40 for a 3 day ticket, or something. It's called Pressurefest.

I didn't know that.
I hope they play a UK venue. I'd love to see them.
Maybe download?

I can't stand them personally, I really don't get on with this kiddie screaming thing that seems to be the way with a lot of bands at the moment.
With you on that.

In fact, any screaming at all is best left outside 'music' (in quotes cos screaming 'singers' don't usually do it over what I'd deem music anyway)

brilliant music - whoever does vocals needs to sod off though - over-rated band, not my cuppa tea... unless u take away the screamy vocals... yuk!

if you like your electro/rave sort stuff check out Hadouken!... Klaxons... CSS... Sunshine Underground... New Young Pony Club

all much better vocals!

I agree with that, a lot of songs start decent but as soon as the vocals kick in I turn off. Still, I might see them at reading anyway...

crikey didnt know they had turned down a sony deal or rumours tht they have. in all honesty i havent listened to them in a long time, but used to go and see them a lot about a year and a half ago. Rou even made his dad gimme a lift to a nightclub after one of there gigs :p

This band omfg
this band is one of the most promising bands i've ever had the grace of listening to.

I love my punk / hardcore / screamo / melodic rock mixed. These tick all of these boxes with a mix of Jungle/electro. Most unique sound.

Just bought there album last week not listened to anything else.
These are bloody good, going to see them at give it a name, and leeds festival.

Not into them at all. This faux-hardcore/rave stuff just isn't my cup of tea. When I listen to a song I want to be able to hear what the singer is going on about otherwise it's just noise.
