"Enter Shikari"

i just explained that bands don't need to be sellouts, infact, the other guy was the person you should have quoted.

Geez, it's not that hard to understand what a sellout is

no offence but get out more :(

theres plenty that have fused the genres... some of the more recent... Klaxons...?

Was that me? I was being sarcastic... I mean, it's about 10 years since I first saw Pitchshifter, and I came late to that party.

*shuts up*

sorry! lol

I didn't get the sarcasm either. Got to use a wink smily for sarcasm people or you can't be sure :D

I'm loving Shikari at the moment. Really nice trancey elements (and I know my trance), the comments about the trance being "cheesy" is rubbish. How can you get cheesy trance riffs? The beats are nice also, the occassional drum'n'bass/jungle beat is good to hear, much more interesting than straight rock drumming. I can't see the problem with his voice, apart from the obvious shouty-ness, which won't be to many people's tastes. The songs are pretty varied imo, and I love the "untitled" melodic tracks in between the actual songs.

Also, they're just a band. You lot are sounding like a lot of grumpy old men at the moment :p

Forgot about this thread, I had a a good night at their gig after.

Was at the bath pavillion on the 28th of march with Chinese Finger Trap and Yourcodenameis:milo supporting.

Didn't think much of CFT to be honest but missed half their set and didn't even know milo were playing until i got there and was pretty damn glad they were as i do like them a fair bit and they put on a good show.
Shikari played a good set and seemed to have a good laugh and wasn't expecting them to come out to prodigy but when they did the place exploded :D

Massively disappointed with the people in attendance though, far to many small girls aged 13/14 smoking and drink breezers for my liking and people not know who bands were and just a few general douches

They played down here at a local venue, pretty suprising since I live in a fairly small town. Obviously I never bothered going as I can't be doing with far too many screaming emo girls, and lads that look equally just like screaming emo girls.

I don't like the music either :]

Revival.

ANTWERPEN was played on Zane Lows show last night which is a song off their new album, due out in may. I'm hoping it will be a little less screamy/roaring than their first!

i thought the track was awful, the bit in the middle with la la la la la la la etc in the background just sounds uber cack.

Yeah same here, <3 Enter Shikari

Granted some of their stuff is okay at best, but whose music is all great minus a few bands?

Take To The Skies was pretty epic, but I have yet to listen to the new album, which apparently they have fell off. Will definitely listen soon though.

The haters in this thread are just gays who never venture out of their boring old genre, whatever that may be.

While I liked the first album, it always really struck me as very "rough". I was expecting them to tighten their sound together by the time a second album came out, but both the two tracks so far have the same messy feel the first album had. No doubt I'll still enjoy it though.

I think they record live don't they?
