Epic songs

Another Sisters of Mercy Song, Ribbons

I suppose I may as well post Temple of Love as being "Epic" as well ...

Temple of Love '92 although I prefer the original.

OK so i'll post the original as well.

I'll add this as well. The Mission, Deliverance

It may not be "epic" to some people, but in the context of the whole album (the wall) I have always found it to be. Plus it's about as "mainstream" as Floyd ever got :) (imo!)

Comfortably Numb:

This is cheesy as hell, but when the accompanying video is from Legacy Of Kain/Soul reaver it becomes a double dose of epic:

Let's get this going again, I'm currently going through a playlist of the songs suggested here! :D

"The Start of Something Beautiful" by Porcupine Tree

Not a huge fan of PT (dull singing/lyrics, IMO) but I love the way that track builds and the epic musicianship towards the end.

David ford - To hell with the world.

Dunno why i like it so much, seen him live and the emotion in it is immense.

How about Marillions 'Man of a thousand faces' (love the end on full volume)

or Marillions 'The invisible man'

Part 1

part 2

Marillion, to me make great emotional music which changes tempo and is quite 'layered'. Fantastic live band

In fact here is another 'epic' called Ocean cloud which is about 16 mins long just like the invisible man

part 1

part 2
