My FPS is only 30 to 60 now, what the hell has happened with this game?
They moved to a new unity engine, they need to optimise against it now.My FPS is only 30 to 60 now, what the hell has happened with this game?
I like the snowI hate the winter wipe, every map gets covered in snow and looks the same
PVE seems harsh with XP, I killed 22 scavs and got 2,000 XP. Not worth the bullets.
Been in the game 7-8 months now, it's all I play as I got sick and tired of doing the same tasks over and over and never getting to all the end game stuff that the streamers all rush to then scream they need a wipe as it's boring now...Is there now a PVE mode? I've not played this in a while, as been mega busy with other life things, but if there's a PVE mode it Means I can drop in and out of games and still get some XP . . . although not a great deal by the sounds of it
Realistic amounts of XP is gained through tasking, to start (first 10 levels) it's fine, but ongoing it's tasking and dailies that make you the XP to level, even a good raid once you have a lot of levels under you're bet is a TINY fraction of a level. ie, on Reserve last night, killed 15+ scavs, Gluhar and the guards, 5-6 pmc's and a couple of raiders, total was about 25/30k xp. For a long time now I've needed well over 1million xp for a level.PVE is great, I don't have the time to commit to those same tasks again in PVP. I wish they gave out a little more XP though.
hehe, yea that did put a crimp in things for easy upgrades. Always feel free to give me a yell if you want some company or just help with somethingYeah I am wading through the missions too. I wish I upgraded my hideout before the FIR requirement!
Not sure if you know but there's a free offline mod to play against bots, helps with learning it etc. As far as I know xp doesn't transferive tried to get into this game so much really regret buying it too hardcore for me especially trying to navigate and exfil without having the map open on my second monitor.
yeah ive tried it in the past it does look good I just struggle with itNot sure if you know but there's a free offline mod to play against bots, helps with learning it etc. As far as I know xp doesn't transfer

They even have a live map now on the M key (For the single player game) or a mini map. Helps to find the extracts so much easierJust much funnage all round.
You can also activate a 'god mode' mod that means you can take all damage, break limbs etc but not actually die.
Whilst learning, it's a god send.
Yes, the EfT pros may sneer and I also had to learn the hard way in PvP (mainly ratting as a scav) but it's all about enjoying the game the way you want it.
BSG despite their flaws have made a fantastic game and it keeps getting better. It's just currently ruined by cheaters online -(we love to cheat in single player)
if I had more friends on pc I think it would be better but most of my friends are on consoles and dont like pc.Cheaters are still there but not as bad as they used to be. People are very quick to call cheaters, but in reality there are just a lot of very very good players out there.
PvP is the only proper way to learn the game... PvE is good for quick pick up and play, but nothing gets the juices flowing like PvP
I've said before but Tarkov has ruined FPS gaming for me - literally nothing else like it in terms of the risk / reward.... Far too many hours / wipes in this game
Played most of the last wipe, started this one but got to lvl 20 and just run out of juice at the moment....... Might pick it back up again but also might miss this one out.
@tonyt3rry - Brutally hard as a new player but once you get the hang of it, learn the maps over time it's one of the most rewarding games you'll ever play. Got to start somewhere....
Getting that pocket watch quest done for the first time, struggling into the bunker extract and bleeding heavily, is absolute peak Tarkov. It doesn't get any better than that.
