Escape from Tarkov

Been playing this PVE and usually play it coop with 2 friends, quite addictive and enjoying it a lot especially modifying new guns and knowing i'll get them back with insurance.

If you've got the time to grind out to decent trader levels then fine, but increasingly the half decent ammo has been got harder to get. I remember when you could get RFB and M80 at level 2 and could craft loads of decent ammo at level 2 workbench.

I don't have time now to grind max traders.
 
Is the Arena mode just abandoned? I've tried a few times to join but never found an active match.

Also, has there been any mention of the official single player mode release date for the EoD players?

I'm a casual player, so those two would help getting used to maps since I haven't played for ages and only dipped back for a little when Arena mode released. I used to love hiding under the stairs in factory before they 'fixed' it, was fantastic sweeping up the goodies after the chads rolled out. No one knows about any decent hiding spots in factory anymore since the devs put more attention in helping the chads and cheaters than the rats.

I bet ammo types and weapons are completely different now, these used to be my go to. That last weapon was a three slot and squeezed into that little Epsilon box of before that got 'fixed' too.

Oh yeah, I'm up to date with the ammo types and with modding weapons. The problem is gaining the funds to purchase said gear. The SKS with PS ammo is my budget go to combo, I can mow down scavs with it all day but against other PMC's I'll loose every time and that happens way too often.

My all time best weapon is a modded HK416 with 5.56x45 mm M995 ammo to put anything down (taking out guards and AI raiders is so fast with this), otherwise using a heavily modded AK74M with 5.45x39 mm 7N39 "Igolnik" ammo for the incredible attachment variety is the most fun. I also used to keep this little three square slot sniper in my epsilon container on naked quest runs and it was incredible.

forcing my way through at the moment to get the prestige, hasn't really given me the chance to enjoy and try out some of the new spots and things but hoping after that I can enjoy some of the new content and relax :cry:
 
Just been speaking with my mate and he knew about the PVE mode for ages but didn't tell me. I've already started the redownload of it, but looks like it'll be tomorrow night before I get to play. Looking forward to only having to do the tasks again, one last time.

Great effort if you get there...

Just can't do it to myself at the moment - done the grind so many times over the years and that mid wipe grind just stalled me out this time

Also the cheaters/bugs are rampant - twice this wipe done with the cpu fryer bug.... Just puts you right off

The latest patch has made this game really laggy, been using msi afterburner whilst playing and getting 30-40fps in some maps however gpu usage is only at around 30-40% and same with the CPU, they need to optimise the game to fully utilise hardware. have been playing PVE coop with friends but I do get the feeling that once we have maxed everything out, done all the missions and and completed everything there will be no incentive to play, on the other hand i don't want to encounter cheaters on PVP either.

The “wipe” always brings players back and the addition of prestige etc gives us no lifers something else to tag onto the profile. I am approx 11 tasks away from prestige 1.

I fully agree with the game state though, packet loss, rubber banding and optimisation is at its absolute worst!

It’s funny you mention cheaters so far this wipe I’ve had 16 confirmed reports back ( I don’t report everyone either ) my favourite part is that I get about 70/80k compensation… just about covers the scope on my gun!

yeah - chucked this wipe pretty early - the back to back raids with the cpu fryer bug just sucked the life out of me.... Not been back to it since.

I remember getting 45k back from a cheater reported - think my kit was 800k total with gun/ammo/armour etc.

That's quite bad in terms of cheaters, and yeah they need to do something about this bad optimisation so far customs, lighthouse and streets of tarkov have terrible optimisation. (Probably more but have only played these maps during this patch)

I actually noticed when I play on my laptop screen resolution (3840x2400) it actually feels faster than when I have it connected to my 3440x1440 monitor so there could also be less optimisation for ultra wide screens as well.
