silly question but where do i put that code in? i've dl'd the launcher but when i try and put the code in it says promo code not foundSent via trust. Have no more, enjoy
You enter it on the Escape from Tarkov website once you have created an account and logged in, but if it's saying promo code not found that may mean it's already used. I'll re-send the key to you, in case I inadvertently sent the same one that I sent to PieEater by mistake.

Suddenly giving away loads of codes after the storm caused by their DMCA takedown attack on one of the biggest EFT content creators, eroktik.
He basically posted two videos highlighting a huge vulnerability in the launcher, battlestate then lodged DMCA claims against every video on YT he'd put up.
Even devildoggamer came out and said he'd been approached by battlestate previously not to post negative content and implied if he did, they might use takedown notices against him.
A few days later after a massive player decline and twitch/YT poostorm they conceded they'd hugey overreacted and pulled the claims. Also didn't help that folks kept pointing out they don't have any licensing rights for any weapons or attachments used in the game.
Cue a few more days later they drop a new patch earlier than scheduled and are rolling out free codes.

the free codes been there every year with the Xmas gift existing players get some free stuff and codes to give.
Nice to see more OC people getting on board may be worth a channel in the discord so people can get a squad together.

As Iron-Man pointed out, free codes, sales, and an in-game gift are the usual Christmas / New Year faire.
As for the DMCA saga, there appears to be a lot of miss information / misunderstanding of the situation. Don't get me wrong Battlestate Games are no angels, they have done a lot of the things wrong, and went a little mad with the DMCA stuff, but what Eroktik posted wasn't criticism as many people claim, it was defamatory, and as far as I can work out largely false. If you were to post a video on Youtube stating that Overclockers UK store is unsafe, and that everyone's billing info could be easily stolen, you could bet Overclockers UK would have something to say about it, whether the content of the video is true or not, it's harmful to business and not the way you go about bringing such issues to the companies attention. There are critical videos on Youtube, criticising EFT, and its developers that have not been DMCA'd.
That's all i'll say on the topic. As for the game, it's early access, it has issues, but it is progressing, and it is fun, for me, and many others.
