Escape from Tarkov

Really enjoying this. Haven't ventured out of customs yet but suspense and gunfights absolutely make this for me.

Great yet confusing game.
 
Morning people and happy new year.
Anyone else unable to log into the game this morning, I put my username and password into log in the launcher, i loads as if it will show the launcher but then loops back to the log in screen.
I can log into their website but not the launcher? both my laptop and desktop doing the same thing.
 
Managed to fix it, had to reset my password to a new one even though my old one was correct, after doing that it now seems to work. Phew though I was gonna lose all my progress for a second then!
 
Arghhhh most successful scav run to date with loot and guns and a backend fault crashs the game right after I extract :(

Edit - it would appear the whole game has fallen over.

Agreed, you get similar gunfights in insurgency sandstorm and 10x more regular but ofcourse you dont have that fear of losing gear on death.
Highly recommend Sandstorm though if you enjoy this type of realistic gunplay.
 
Jumped in a scav run last night and my scav had a sv98 with decent ammo and a 130k FLIR bolted on top. Went full predator scanning for heat sigs but only saw and killed scavs.

Mildly amusing moment for me was when cold got to his extract and let rip at a scav with an Adar only to get slotted in the face by the scav with a pistol just 3m from the extract.

Cold was not amused.....lol
 
I really don't yet know what to run and risk on my pmc yet. I've filled my stash with gear inc guns, ac, rigs, backpacks etc from a couple of scav runs. Made some money from drops leaving twitch running with an icepick I've yet to sell as no market unlocked yet. Think I've got gear fear already from offline mode and scav runs :D

I'm in the same boat as you. I think I'm going to give it a try later though and going out as a PMC and just see what happens.

Customs, buy a stock SKS with PS ammo from Prapor, put ammo in pocket, put med/cheese slice, bandage and painkillers in secure container. That is the best starting loadout for noobs, pistol runs gonna get you killed a lot. SKS makes putting scavs and low/medium level armor PMC's down way easier.

The red rebel icepick is worth about 1.5 million roubles btw but is very useful later in the game when you start playing the reserve map as you need to have it to use one of the extracts.
