Anyone have an app or method for hiding "special" photos from prying eyes in the gallery, I've read about some .Nomedia file method but can't get it to work , instructions aren't great

If you use a file explorer like Estrongs then just rename the folder with a "." at the start e.g. instead of pr0n, put .pr0n

This will hide the folders from everything but a file explorer....

Thats about as simple as it gets :)

Edit: you will need to reboot the phone or use an app lke SDRescan which mounts/unmounts the card and refreshes the file list without rebooting....

HideNSeek.
The widget appears as a flashlight. You run it and press the menu button 3 times then enter a password. You then select which files to hide. It basically adds ".hide" to the extension.

Ringtones? Specifically message & notifications.

Any decent packs I can download?

Did you manage to find Twitter in the end? forgot to say that I managed to search for it fine on the market :)

Anyway, to answer your question, I think most people just download the MP3 and assign it as a ring tone? it's easily done via Youtube in conjunction with a music ripping program :)

Yeah I've got it now since I've updated to CM 5.x No idea why is wasn't coming up in the Market for me on 4.x

OK, might as well give Ringroid etc a go again. :)

BTW the latest Launcher Pro is sweet, the new bookmarks widget which is added, is amazingly hawt. ^_^

Ooo, I hadn't noticed that in the update. It is quite nice, but I still prefer to use Smart Shortcuts to group all my applications and bookmarks. If you have not tried it yet, I recommend that you do :)

Smart Shortcuts used way too much CPU time and memory for my liking and it did make my phone slower. Since uninstalling it, my phone has been noticeably faster...

I just use the app drawer now for loading apps, since I'm kinda addicted to the animation when you first go into it ^_^, and since there's a feature to hide all the stuff you don't use with Launcher Pro, it's awesome :)
