No, an email comes into my gmail for that. App only notifies of messages/replies, friend requests and event invites

Does anyone know if there is a widget that can lock my screen/put it into standby so I don't have to physically push the button?

Thanks

i had a bit of a fad moving everything to sdcard then after still having over 800MB left i figured what the point and put them all back on the phone.
guess i got into a mindset having a phone with not much internal memory.

Is there anyway of keeping my google calendar and work exchange calendar seperate. I don't want any cross contamination as it gets confusing.

Not sure. It is slightly annoying that the calendar doesn't use the calendar colours on the month view - I have 3 different remote calendars imported into Google Calendars, all with different colours so it's easy to differentiate.

I'm sure it's easy when you know how!

Problem I had was foolishly syncing everything so my phone was loaded with all my google, outlook and iphone contacts and calendars so I deleted them and started again. Trying to keep it tidy!

The annoying thing is is when you go to the Agenda view it does use the colours, so it's obviously syncing them. So then why not sync the colour of the dot on the month view in-line with what calendar the event is from instead of just using a general green one?!

Yeah that would make sense.

I'm also looking to tweak the agenda widget to display further into the future. So far it's only showing the coming week but I could with it showing the Month.

Desktop event notifier for Android devices

https://code.google.com/p/android-notifier/

great app, i get tray bubbles of sms's, battery life etc..

This project sends notifications to a desktop computer when certain events happen on an Android device, such as the phone ringing, an SMS being received, or the battery running low. The notifications can be sent over Wifi, Bluetooth, or (in the future) USB.

Sounds good.

Is that built into Android somewhere? I can't see it.

Another one...can Android display animated gigs? I can't view the gif thread properly.

You won't view the a page full of gif's very well at all because of the size of them and the fact that it takes processing power to animate every pic.
