Went with Tasker.
Setup a basic task of turning GPS on when maps is open and off when its not.
But im trying to work out how to turn airplane mode on, but off every 30mins to get emails/txts, then back on.
I know it can be done, as ive seen people mention it, but i cant find a guide on how-to!

Right after trying all the browsers out again 
I have decided that opera mini is the one to stick with, it is just too fast for everything, renders the pages much better for me than what it did last time I tried it (months ago), although some images don't look as good for me as what they do on the stock browser etc.
If only it had multi-touch though
Also much prefer the UI as well.

Have you used Swype? It is impressively fast to type with. 8pen is currently shockingly slow for me but I see the potential and works better on non dictionary words.
