I found I could type at the same speed on the stock HTC (DHD) keyboard as Swype (both in portrait and using 2 thumbs in parallel) but when you make an error with Swype it is very slow to correct it.

The new version has double-tap correction now which speeds that up a bit (double tap a word and it'll list all other suggestions).

You've always been able to do that. If you move the cursor to the word and hit the swype key you can change it and if it's still wrong, you can delete it.

ooops.

I find the gingerbread keyboard didn't correct any of my frequent mistakes, none at all! Was very irritating - unless of course it learns over time and I didn't give it a chance?

I felt the same, but as Khaaan! says there is an updated one over at XDA, 3.2mb and includes dictionary for the languages compared to the original 32kb no dictionaries hence the poor autocorrect wording.

Can highly recommend this update..

I really enjoyed their Dungeon Hunter game!
I quite like the look of that, not availible yet on my phone though... There's a couple I wouldn't mind getting when they are availible and some of those iphone games that need to be ported over.

Just got a Desire HD and I'm looking for a decent music player, I want to be able to sort by "album" or "album artist" so that when you're browsing your albums it doesn't show multiple versions of one album if it has more than one artist.

Tried Winamp but it has the above problem.

Any recommendations?

Poweramp does the same, but if you just view your library as folders then albums should be stored in a single folder (mine are, synced via iTunes -> doubleTwist).
