Anyone know a good reliable file manager?

I have tried Astro and Adao but both no longer seem to find files I look for. I mainly use file managers to upload to Dropbox but some files dont appear on the file managers I have used despite the file being definatly saved where I am looking!

Thanks

I can recommend Total Commander, found it earlier on today, It's only in beta stages yet so it's not on the market - but it's really quite good :)

And it's seriously 'lightweight' so it's really fast too!

Ok, MPC-HC app is great, but I'm wondering if there is an app which, shows the text, or number of the person calling whilst a film is on the HTPC?

Had that on my Blackberry, scary how many different brands of food it has

It helps that they allow user contributions to the database.

This is the first app of it's kind where I haven't got fed up after 5 minutes when I can't find the food I've eaten :D

Don't know about that but MPC Remote is really cool (if that's what you're using? see photo I posted few pages back) and pauses the video being played if a call comes in and resumes on call end.

Anyone know a good music player that allows me to either select which files/folders are shown or allows me to hide certain folders?

I have a game installed and the stupid thing stores music and images on the SD card. I have installed 'quickpic' which allows me to hide the game folder so that I only see images and video that I've actually put on the phone. I want to do the same for music as having 100 or so random music tracks from a game is annoying :p.

Oh and in before "lol porn" :D.

Edit: @Boxman, I use Gmail as well, but I have no idea what the sync setting are like as I manually sync :(.

There are no sync settings, it's push. As soon as you receive an e-mail, it should appear as a notification.

I have 3 other domains that I set up on web gmail for gmail to poll them for me and push to phone. I think it helps battery to go through just the one.

Poweramp does this.

Poweramp does this.

Ah nice one, thanks, I'll download it now :).

Haven't bothered putting music on my phone yet other than to test it out, as just having those tracks listed from the game would just annoy me too much everytime I went to listen to music :(.

Edit:
Ah, it's a paid app, I'm poor and don't like paid for apps :D.

I solved the problem though, decided I'd have a google instead of just being lazy and hoping someone would post a free app I could download.

You just have to create a file called ".nomedia" and place it in the folder where the music/images/videos are. They then aren't shown by the default players/viewers :).

Go Launcher's Calendar widget is really cool, supports page curling, agenda view etc and it real neat :D

The transparent theme works great on my setup.

So is Go Launcher the new Launcher Pro? ;)

EDIT: Installed it, where can I get the Transparent theme from?

Robbie, I have the MPC Remote app:

It pauses on incoming. Didn't know it unpaused when the call ends. Is that a recent addition?

Not true :D

If you name any folder, no matter the text, and place a "." at the beginning; ".game" Then they will not be able to be found via the gallery or music player.

Doesn't have to be called ".nomedia" :D

It is true, I'm not talking about renaming the folder, that would be stupid as I'd have to rename it everytime I wanted to play the game.

I'm talking about adding a FILE inside the folder called ".nomedia".
