It backs up SMS regardless of application so long as the handset default app can work with it then so can this.
Downloaded it, shame it can't backup the messages on the device before I installed it, just new ones.

Though I could delete all messages and use the gosmspro backup and then use the other backup to gmail

It can, it did for me. SMS Backup is what I used. Just run a manual backup run and it will send over all messages.

The market is weird. Why can I not download/install official Google apps to my Galaxy S2 without having to download the apk from some dodgy sites?

Nope, just use ES file explorer and access your pc file shares from your device, no need to upload/sync the files.

Ah that's the one, I couldn't remember what I had used in the past.

Are there any good panoramic photo apps? I think I remember hearing about one where you just sweep the camera and it automatically stitches them together, no need to take multiple pictures.

I think this is Sony only. They're modding it on XDA, but still to limited phones.

I was looking last night, Pano looks quite good, but is a paid app. I might give it a go though.

I'm trying Photaf, but so far it seems terrible at auto detecting when I should take the next picture.

I'd be interested to hear what you try.

Some apps are not available for download outside the US, usually because the service is not yet available in the UK.

Guys, what brightness settings are you using on your Galaxy SIIs? Also anyone considered replacing the camera app entirely with camer360?

Pano is good I bought it. The stock Galaxy S 2 camera app also has a panoramic mode. Its on one of the million settings.
