Essential Android Apps

I've had to start using Battery Inidcator because my Galaxy Portal does not want to show me the the correct battery percent, not even close... I've had it on all day now and the android battery meter is still saying that I'm at 100% whereas battery indicator is showing a more realistic 70%.

Wish there was a way to disable the built in batter meter.
 
I'm in need of a better music player than the stock HTC Desire one. I have access to free music downloads on my network here in DK but the format it downloads them in doesnt bring over any album or title info, so I just end up with a big list of tracks :mad:

I'm having to dig through the crappy interface and stick songs into manual play lists to get any sort of order and I wondered what others are using?

any suggestions?

I'd second bTunes it's great. :)

Only thing I would like in it is the ability to edit track information.
 
Spent ages yesterday choosing the perfect ringtone and notification tones. :p


Have the Spy from TF2 saying "Gentlemen." for my notification. This means (I>=Awesome).
 
Amateurs, both of you :p

The full Super Mario Bro's collection :D The coin collection sound for messages, various other things like level up for other notifications, and the theme tune as a ring tone :D
 
Don't use Mobile Backup.

It seems to have screwed up my Desire. Keep getting com.htc.bgp force close message, and I can't connect to my PC for anything other than to charge.


Good thing I've got a new one on the way. Or should have if Vodafone ever pull their finger out.

Something i paid a hefty chunk for on my jb'ed iphone, and thought I wouldn't be able to do on android and would miss it quite a bit. But alas, :D

That looks a bit too basic imo, Handcent looks better and has a few more features!

i just prefer minimalism :P its a quick reply tbh, i just need it to quick reply/the voice addition would be nice too which it has.
