Essential Android Apps

Hmm, never realised there was a Lloyds TSB app for Android :D.

Just signed up for internet banking since I'd never bothered before (I'd only use it to check balance and it's easy enough to have the phone number saved with all my bank details in the correct order using pauses to send them when needed), so once the details arrive I'll give it a try :D.

Looks like it has a lot more to it than the Natwest/RBS apps which only show balance.

Catch Notes updated recently with really nice graphics and transitions and today I noticed Any.Do which is a to do app with reminders and Google Tasks sync capabilities. It's got black and white themes and looks really nice too with smooth animations and a functional widget to boot.

A lot of apps are updating with iPhone calibre visuals now which is great to see as it falls inline with the kind of quality ICS brings to Android as well.

Cheers, any.do looks great. Think it may replace GTasks for me.

World of Goo is out 40% off until tomorrow.
Says demo is ok but game is incompatible with my SGS1. This is due to the 47Mb size.
The way around this is to buy via Paypal direct from their website at http://2dboy.com/

Plays great, I can see what all the fuss is about!

Been using it for a while all it needs is push sync and it would be the best task application I've come across!

Friendcaster is now updated with swish graphics too and a black theme.

So much win!

It also has Push notifications :)

Fiarly sure I recommended it some pages back. Could have been a different thread though. For me there is no doubt Beyondpod is the best podcast player.

Can anyone recommend a good network monitor?? O2 has text me saying im on 80% of my 1gb monthly allowance. This is after I already bought a 2nd 1gb as I used it in 10 days

Im using netcounter and its telling me in total Ive used 1.372gb - 97.26 mb for the month - 156.09mb for the last 7 days. This looks totally wrong and im only using the phone for web browsing while at work.

According to O2 ive done 1.8gb in 3 weeks or so.:confused:
