What do I know, eh? lol

Really? Once Swiftkey is personalised I find it a lot faster as my video posted earlier showed.

Could you post the link again? I only find Swype faster if I have just one thumb available. With two thumbs I do prefer to jab away at the screen.

The word prediction I find useless as by the time I've read the three suggestions, I could have swyped the word anyway...

Ok, thanks. So as I thought, the word prediction is of no use when you're typing in a hurry. Also, it would be interesting to do the same comparison but using only your thumb. As I say, that's when I need Swype. If I go landscape, it changes to a regular keyboard for me.

Yeah I have Swiftkey set to Rapid as I tend to type fast and as such rely on autocorrection and prediction to fill in the random errors that come with typing fast. It has the Precise mode too though for those who tend to type slowly and have time to choose predictions.

I'll do one with just thumb usage in a moment. I don't tend to type in landscape ever really, I might on the S3 thanks to the bigger resolution but on the S2the pixels are not enough to type in landscape and see what you're typing in the text box in the browser for forum replies and so on.

Updated to the latest swiftkey beta and it seems pants compared to the last version? Doesn't seem to remember what I'm typing or auto correct as I'm doing it?

Don't remember the last version being hard work like this? :(

Easier than that, take screenshot imgur app copy bb code and paste into browser.

I just prefer touch typing on a qwerty onscreen board. That and the fact that there is no cursor control in Swype whereas in stock ICS and Swiftkey you have cursor buttons either via keys or via volume keys!

Many will have noticed that when posting on these forums and others from the phone browser than it's not easy to move the text cursor around by touching the area you want to modify as the cursor jumps about (on a sub 720x1280 sized screen anyway).

Cursor keys solve that problem/

You simply swype from the 'Swype key' one to the right to bring up cursor.

We'll never agree on the best keyboard, just depends on people's style and abilities

The worst thing about Swype is that the swiping cakes up the screen so I have to wipe it afterwards. You can type a bit more faintly and touch less of the screen on SwiftKey etc.

:p

I jumped on the SwiftKey beta bandwagon and so far all is good. They Ics update on my sensation brought in some annoying bugs on their stock HTC keyboard and this is by far they best alternative so far. I just need to get out of some habits like assuming some of the keys are in their same place and not having to add a space after a full stop as it does it for you.
