So ive just installed a load of apps off recommendations on here but i have been reading on the intraweb that if you delve into Android you can get some improvements through a few settings etc But i have no clue really how to go about this so can anyone recommend me any essential modifications be it through apps etc that can improve looks/speed/power of my device (HTC Legend)..Thanks guys if you can help

I got that Kaloer clock after reading this very cool and damn handy no longer am i searching for my phone at 2am looking how long I have left in bed :D

Have you downloaded the flash app from the market or the one that came with Froyo? The newest Flash release has to be downloaded from the Market.

yea its downloaded.

Iplayer is probably just to high bandwitch for the CPU i guess. Well this flash is only beta so maybe it will get better

I really want to use LauncherPro, mainly because I like the Nexus One look, but I have a few niggles - :p

The Glass Bar at the bottom (that the N1 and HelixLauncher have) needs adding, I really like that, and the menu needs to be changed to look like the Helix and N1 menus do.

I know it's two really stupid thing but it bugs me as I think not having them detracts from the clean Android look :D

I also do quite like some of the Sense UI widgets, I know most can be replaced but many aren't as polished.

Try HelixLauncher2 from the Marketplace if you want to see what I mean, it's not quite as smooth as LauncherPro and lacks a couple of bits, but aesthetically, it's far nicer imo (aside from the zooming effect when you open applications that LauncherPro has)!

Here's hoping the LauncherPro guy will add it, although it won't really be necessary when Froyo is all set for the Desire (from Paul), hopefully next week!

beebplayer still works, but only if you can get hold of the apk, the dev has withdrawn it because of the release of flash for Android. Unfortunately he's neglected to realise that not all Android phones are supported by flash, so there is still a need for the app.
I have a fairly recent apk, if anyone wants it, mail me in trust and I'll chuck it over to you when I get home from work. Or you could have a look for it on google, which will probably be quicker.
The latest (and last) version is 0.6.5

Epicurious has been released for Android 2.1! \o/

It's a bit flakey, and a poor port... but hopefully it will improve with time.

Gmote is old skool but good, works just as lag free as a normal mousepad too.

I've since updated my widgets with new ones that look more professional and sick!

- Pure Calendar Widget (Agenda)
- Mini Info

Will put screens up when I get home but they are on my appbrain link in sig :)

Plus I can upload the last beebplayer if anyone still wants it. It works fine for me btw as I only use it to catch up with missed programs not live TV.

I've been using pure calendar widget for a while now, love it. So much customization.

It does work portrait but only takes up the top half of the screen.

Want to try out that dashboard plus but can't really justify paying for it :)
