Anyone tried those SMB & Bluetooth modules for Astro? I can't seem to do anything with them and in the latest astro update I can no longer add any ftp servers.

Tried it, and failed miserably to get it to work (the voice to text - I press the mic button and it opens the settings).... guess some things just arent meant to be!

Registration takes 2 seconds from the app. Didn't realise it needs 2.2, I was pretty quick flashing my nexus when it came out the other day.

LOL ermmm no not really...for a fact its slower 600mhz cpu compared to the 1ghz cpu that the Desire has and a slightly bigger screen...3.2" compared to the 3.7" that the Desire has.

Go into your contact, press menu then edit contact and next to the number you already have for the person there is a green plus, press that and it will add a new number which you can customize.

Sorry, that was my point for ppl that try and get it to work without Froyo. I have it on my browser but it wont work properly till the phone is registered and the APK file wont run on 2.1 :/

Problem is my contacts are all "SIM" which doesnt show the GREEN + to add numbers.

any suggestions?

Its a good proof of concept as much as anything else, but my very mature friends used it to push porn to my phone

I assume you mean edit your contacts on your PC rather than the phone? If so sync contacts with your google account and edit them in your gmail.

I have synced my contacts to the laptop, but they dont appear in gmail contacts.

I cant get 1 name on phone with say 4 numbers, so im thinking of using pc to edit.

Oh, I missed your new edit about the SIM contacts, I would advise to copy them all to the phone and delete them from the SIM, I haven't used SIM contacts for a long time because of these kinds of issues.
