What sat nav app do you suggest, I've got Waze and M8, any others that are worth looking at?

I used to use NavFree!, Very good Sat-Nav and it's totally 'Offline' in storing the Maps on your SD card!, Plus you can (if you have the space) download just about the Entire World in some quite seamless Maps

I now just use Google Nav, as you can 'cache' the maps to your device so it's 'Semi-Offline' until I get an Unlimited Data Package!!

There were rumours circulating a few weeks ago that Facebook were in talks with them about a $1 billion take over bid. Really hope that doesn't happen!

The latest rumours are that Google are interested, possibly just so Facebook don't get them...

Waze for car sat nav and the social aspect, Google maps for general navigation and searching e.g. bicycle routes finding a specific place etc

Not sure why Google don't just add a social side to there one. It seemed a lot of money for a company that I don't think makes any money

But monetising it wouldn't be hard for Waze. I think they'd already started making deals with companies so their shops would pop up as you drove near.

Navfree and make sure you get the postcode addon (unless they now include it) so you can search etc, doesn't need a network/3G connection to work, only GPS. Brilliant free software, can't recommend it highly enough.

Yeah I know, wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't being regularly updated

Tried Apex again, and while the UI is more polished, I actually found configuration with it more difficult, and the stutter is actually pretty annoying. Furthermore, as far as I can see it doesn't allow grid sizes small enough to place icons close together enough. So Nova it is...free version for now.

Google Nav is brilliant, don't see the need in downloading another 3rd party app.

If you only have a teeny Data Package (like my 500Mb/month) and need to travel over a larger area than it will allow you to Cache onto your SD card! the an 'Offline' Sat-Nav program is very welcome!!

The New update to Google Calendar is amazing, date and time input is really sweet.

Also the new Root Explorer tabbed ui is something special now more inline with ES.

Root was better for root actions in the past, they're much of the same now. I just have both because I can!

Not really. All you can do is use Widgetlocker on top of your normal pin/pattern lockscreen

Has anybody else noticed the emoticon button closing straight after opening with Swype? I press it, it'll pop up and close, then I have to press it again and it'll be fine until I select an emoticon. Absolute pain...!
