Nope, wish it did, it only really notifies you about messages, friend requests and the like, hence it's pretty useless.

Someone needs to make an app like the Blackberry one, which uses the push email system to notify you of such things.

Also: Sky Remote Record is a great little app, very small too.

New app tray, much faster & smoother scrolling, customisable shortcuts along the bottom of the screen and extra screens on certain devices.

I'll have to stick with using a mix of Bloo and the official app then :/

You need to clear the default setting for the home app you are using . Go into settings/apps/manage apps, then find either HTC Sense. Click on the app, then the clear detaults button.

Next time you press the Home button, you will get a choice of which Home App to use.
 
Androidscreencast.

This needs working USB ADB driver (downloaded via the SDK). Possibly then needs hacked if you have changed your ROM - use usbdeview to get the correct details that you will need to put on the phone. This is not too hard but probably not for novices - disclaimer I am a tech geek with a computer science degree, not that the degree was needed for this.

Needs Java 5.

This lets you control your phone from your pc over USB. Perfect for those people who want to be able to send texts with a real keyboard and not faff about with touch keyboards.
 
I like the IME keyboard a lot but it loads quite slowly for me and sometimes really slow, will try the new version, thanks.

Edit: Oooops, just realised I've been using the 1.5 version in 2.1, forgot to update it when I upgraded, the correct version seems to work better!

if your using android then you can get push gmail so what about setting up facebook to send notifications to gmail/googlemail account which can then be lined to your phone ?

I could do that, but it's a little haphazard for me as it will notify me of every dam thing.

I would just rather, like the BB app that the facebook app would intercept those emails and show updates natively.

Hmm when I got to add accounts all I get is Google and a tick next to it, click next and then it asks if I have a google account or if I would like to create one? I want to add my onw domain email account and hotmail?
