Fiiinally found what was "android system" on my phone to lockup and crash whenever I tried to do anything. Apparently my milestone does not get on with Handcent's reminders. If you have them on it stops sound from notifications and if you try and access settings for it, hangs. Market, browser, etc would all hang as well. Very strange.

hey guys. just wondering what other sms apps there are. im currently using handcent but i dont like the way it display's the whole txt when you recieve it, id rather just have a noticification saying "1 new message" or something. is there any apps that do this ?

Handcent > Settings > Notifications > Uncheck Enable popup.

Just means you can assign an additional action to the shortcut by swiping the shortcut instead of pressing it. Just slide your finger upwards and you have an additonial shortcut.
