Agreed. Been using PlayerPro for the last week now. I've tried all the players and I reckon this is the best so far. Good lock screen controls as well.
I want Angry Birds!!!
& is it worth using Task Killers?
i hate task killers, and def no need on a lot of the latest handsets like the desire for example

Definately a need for them, unless you're running 2.2. Saves so much memory and battery...
Indeed they do make a difference to battery life, even under 2.2
I thought 2.2 had a sort of inbuilt one?
Anyone else played Alchemy?
Such a frustrating game.
Play Mini Squadron while you wait.
There is no need for task killers at all, especially for higher end mobiles.
This isn't a windows OS
Android is based on linux, which handles memory much better and also programs in the background.

They do more harm than good, I had installed one on my samsung I5700 and then read the above article and uninstalled it and noticed much better performance from my mobile and also when I had a task killer installed I noticed that I didn't receive emails as often, had to sometimes do a manual refresh in order to receive them. I made sure that they were excluded along with my alarm clock, so they wouldn't be killed.
My phone does slow down with out using a taskkiller, i use Autokiller which adjusts the build in android 'taskkiller' so has no negative side effects.
Launcher Pro just updated to v.0.7.9.0 and added a Friend Stream style widget.

Its now surpassed Sense UI IMHO![]()

yeah totally agree and read similar reports
to say it has no negative side effects is a bold statement, if you read the above link and many others u will see its not how google intent android to work, i just reboot my phone every few days.
I don't care how google intended it to work i use it based on my expience of my phone slowing up when not using a taskkiller. And no i don't get any negative effects because i use a program which alters the parameters of the INBUILT android taskkiller so it doe'snt cause any negative side effects, people who have problems use third party taskkillers which shut down the wrong programs and processes which then causes problems.
