The link on samdroid you just install as any other .apk file, this one you need to flash in recovery :)

I also use SMS Backup+ (free from market), to sync texts with my Gmail. They're now shown as a separate folder / label in my Gmail and I've just had cause to restore them (phone repair) and it worked perfectly.
 
Yeah SMS Backup wasn't the kind of thing I was after, I've found 2 apps now in case anyone else is interested, one is in the market as SMSSync and the other is called TexTab and is available over at XDA.

Both of these sync sent and received messages with your tablet and allow you to send message from your tablet also. Neither is perfect SMSSync utilizes a drop box account to sync the messages, but is available anywhere, don't even have to have your phone in the same country as you as long as both phone and tablet have internet access.

TexTab uses Bluetooth so both devices have to be together.
 
Youtube never seems to work on my SGS (1). Error trying to play video tap to retry or something along those lines.

It use to work stopped a while back not sure why, tried uninstalling and reinstalling done nothing.
Can't do it via the app in app drawer or a link.

You are aware that they auto-delete after 30 days arnt you?

Found that out this morning, shame, would be cool to permanently cache my local area.:(
