On Sims Free Play can you play in the same town on tablet and phone? Remarkably even though it appears to be a cloud based game you can't simply swap devices

Anyone noticed that the stock ICS browser sometimes doesn't render the page correctly? It appears to be all white but if you scroll down the bottom half of the page is there:

Happens in ICS Browser+ as well.

I've gone back to using Boat Browser now because I never had a problem with that and I think I actually prefer the interface to Boat even though the quick panel interface on ICS browser was nice...

Can't say I ever had that problem. I'm using Quick ICS browser but has the same render engine as the stock browser.

It's a bit weird yeah. I've also installed Quick ICS Browser too as I like the "switch every time" user agent switching quick control in it.

Not seen that before but then I'm not using an SG2.

Probly been mentioned before (I think when it was in Beta), but I've just installed NavFree v1.9.6.7548 Excellent 'Off Line' Nav software which is Free!!.. and all the Maps are free!!..

I've now got a very large portion of Europe including ROI with UK postcodes for Nowt!..

Re-Routing works nicely if you have to go 'off-grid' and you can also edit the Maps, either in the App (not tried that yet) or via Open Map's website.

It's almost as user friendly as my 10 year old TomTom Go500 :)

10 year old TomTom?

I'll give it a whirl tonight on the way home but I've yet to see a nav as robust yet simple as Google Nav!

Well that was short lived.

NavFree displays ads on the map during navigation. A big no no in my books.

Also, it didn't recognise my home town so I could not navigate to an address in this area since you can't input a postcode/street name until you've input a city first.

Epic fail.

You can search just for a postcode. Have you downloaded the separate Postcode download?

Mine doesn't show Ads?!?

Well it does in the config menu, but not on the Map!?

Maybe it was because I had the Beta on there when I installed (it didn't upgrade so for a brief time I had both on there)...

I still have Google maps, but I like this as its totally 'off-line', even if I cache Googlemaps for my journey, I'd still end up using data when I stray off the route (which I do a lot :D )

Love my old TomTom, it's got newer maps on it (well 6 years old, but hay!!), but the missus broke the mount and it takes Aaaages to get a GPS fix...

Free one definitely showed an ad bar across the top when in map mode!

Above all else though, not being able to search individually without having to put in a city name was major fail.

Is that the free version? Can you try searching for a street name without entering any other details too?

Hmmmm Weird...

Mine Shows Ads on the Map Screen...

But on the Nav Screen it doesn't (either just showing the road your on or Navigating).

Do you have the UK Postcode file installed? Mine only asks what country I'm in then search for a Postcode..
