Gave the Facebook launcher a try for 24 hours. Overall I found it annoying but this was mainly due to the ridiculous pictures with quotes that is posted by the people on my Facebook. I like the 'chatheads' feature which is installed with the latest update to Facebook Messenger (Facebook home is not required to get this feature). With that said, I'm back on Nova launcher for now.
Overall, I can see a market for facebook home due to its simplicity. I reckon it will be on the majority on 'Facebook mum's' phones.

Anyone use a football score app?
Currently using Fotmob which seems pretty good, but im after one with a homescreen widget and or the notifications telling me who has scored, not just a goal flash that i then need to click on to go in and see who has scored...tried quite a few but any with widgets seem to not update very quick and dont really notify me of anything if im not watching the screen

I use Livescore Widget and think it's great, very upto date.
Its for my tablet so will be plugged in on my desk anyways, might just stick with fotmob for the time being then and just keep searching around
Think ive tried that one but got rid of it as i didnt really like it...might give it another go this afternoon and see how it goes on

That's a Samsung feature (it keeps the phone awake by using the camera to see if your eyes are still looking at the screen)

Yes G Cloud Backup
It can back up to the cloud a lot of other stuff too much i just choose SMS/Call Logs. It backs up automatically any time you choose. You can restore your SMS/Call Logs any time you want when you lo into your account.

I’ve no interest in facebook home but have noticed the update for the normal facebook app says “new permissions for facebook home”.
Seems annoying that I have to agree to extra permissions if I don’t wish to use that, I wonder what extra snooping powers I’m giving them…

If you use the SMS Backup & Restore Add-On it can upload to Dropbox or Google Drive.
He also does a Call Logs Backup & Restore, though he hasn't released a cloud backup feature for that yet it seems.
