Essential iPhone Apps

Think it might already have been mentioned, but Ragdoll Blaster 2 is great!

I got it free, not sure if it costs now or not- there are so many levels most of which are great fun. The animation and physics are great and the menus for selecting levels are really slick- the whole game has a kinda steampunk feel to it and these menus move up and down on cogs as you drag them.

Is there still no control pad 'add on' for the iphone 4? The only thing letting it down is the on-screen controls for some games, I would run to the shops if there was something available to turn this thing into a games console.

Its called the iP5 no doubt - I really want them to make the off-screen part of the iPhone touch sensitive so controls could easily be left there rather than on-screen. No technological reason why they cant and I cant see it being that expensive...

ps3ud0

Epic's Infinity blade was released today! looks very nice, only played about 5 mins so far but looks pretty good so far!

I might a well post some of the ones I find useful, although I won't include all of them and you've probably seen 99% of them before

Evernote (along with the desktop version) - love the instant sync between devices
Stanza - know a cheeky place with hundreds, if not thousands of books available, until I get an iPad this has served me well for my ebook reading!

Spawn HD - destroys your battery but makes for a nice 'screensaver' when it's charging on the dock, pretty colours and patterns haha

Around Me, Travel Deluxe, Tube Deluxe (pretty essential, the latter two for a Laaadaner)

Reeder - would be lost without my RSS feeds!

Photog ones:
AutoStich Panorama, ColorSplash, Comic Touch, Mill Colour, Pro HDR (only on a 3GS so no built in HDR)

MyPhone+ - can import high res pics from Facebook, I think their built in sync only did lower res ones last time I checked, better than the FB sync basically

Dropbox - duh

Exoplanet - a fantastically nerdy app which keeps you up to date on new planets that are found along with all the information and positioning in the night sky, goes nicely with Starwalk.

My Library - until Delicious make an app...

VideoSafeHD - good for hiding that picture she sent you from your mates

I also got Muybridgizer the other day - good laugh for making little animation loops, I keep meaning to do a series on various dance moves for my own amusement! It's free too, for a time. I think it exports the images as a gif but I'm not sure, haven't tried yet.

you mean eternal legacy? been playing abit of infinity blade, can say its abit repetative and i think the wow factor for it comes from the graphics... its playable, but not as addictive id say as game dev story.. that for me is the number 1 mobile app as you can play it whilst doing other things

No, sorry I meant Infinity Blade. Combat system is good on the touch screen; not tried game dev story, looks too much like, Pokemon.

trust me it wears off. once you start making millions and millions it loses its appeal....

yeah, every one of my games is a hit now and its not as challanging. Contemplating started it again though..

I sat for 4 hours in the dark downstairs last week and only moved because my batt ended up dying on me. I was that addictive i knew it was going to die but couldnt pause it to go upstairs to my charger
