Euro 2012 Qualifiers 2/3/6 September ** Spoilers**

Can't remember him cheating much but he always got stuck in and did have a nasty streak in him. Become quite the **** since playing for Real though.

Mourinho has that effect, look at what Drogba became under him, I couldn't stand THAT Drogba, but he barely dives now and is really great to watch. Thing is, if a manager tells you to dive and would otherwise drop you, you can't do much about it. I've said it loads of times before that you can easily see certain teams instantly become cheats, or knock it out of their game with a change of manager.

I used to think Lucio was fantastic and a very fair player but one season under Moaneyface and he started diving quite a lot :(

Okay missed it all and other games but Holland 11 - 0, Awesome for them. How did we play was it usual mehyness? i know we won but was it good win in play style or was opponent just utter crap etc?

I missed the game tonight but have just read the below article that's full of praise for Downing. I take it he had a good game tonight?

He was already World Class before joining Chelsea and proved that against us when he single handedly dumped us out of the UEFA Cup.

Tbf, the ref done more than Drogba in that tie. They got a pen and we had a player sent of for a 6 of 1, half a dozen of another shirt pull that was about 5 yards outside the box.

Probably true but he still bullied our defence in both ties and gave them a torrid time. Happened far too many times for my liking since as well

Yea, I remember in the first leg in particular we couldn't handle him from setplays. We brought Heskey back for the 2nd leg and iirc, Heskey dealt with him pretty well and we were a goal up (Heskey scored iirc) and looked comfortable before the red card/penalty incident.

Another classic piece of finishing from Walcott tonight, proving once and for all that he should be starting every game up front for club and country.

Why do San Marino still have a football team? They are the worst team in the world. Even Scotland have a chance against them.

As of 12 August 2011
Played 107 games
Won 1
Draws 3
Loses 103
GF 17
GA 352
GD - 335

Thats not even funny.

I hate international games that aren't proper tournament games. So boring. Why can't they have all these games during the club football break?

Not much difference between scotland and san marino only the score line. They both will win nothing at international level.
Just becasue they are crap doesn't mean they shouldn't play.
Football needs to look at other sporting bodies were there are differnt divisions at international level. So faroe island and san marino would be in 1 division and get a chance to move up if they do well. With poorly performing teams going down.

ITs not like San Marino would do well, but if they were in the "bottom" group with Faroe Islands and all the worse teams their record would be a lot better, but they end up playing England, France, Germany, Italy, Holland often enough and they've got no ruddy chance.

Meh, anyway the press is in its usual post rubbish game against awful opposition talking up how brilliant they were idiocy mode. Its embarassing, Barry despite being left for dead against Ozil was quite impressive last night according to one paper. Yes, thats because Ozil is very good and the Bulgarian equivilent isn't, at all.

This pre game woe is us, and post game, we can win the cup, thing is beyond tiring and pathetic now, its just embarassing.

Agreed! DM, what's going on? Ever since Arsenal went to **** it's as if you've cheered up. :p

I think its pretty simple, up till 2 seasons ago while I knew we were going in the wrong direction, I knew we also had a squad that could win the title if we actually played our best players and tactics and didn't throw games away, having the squad to win and failing because of sheer stupidity is as frustrating as football gets.

Last season to a large degree I didn't think we had a squad that could win the league even with all the stupidity cut out, and this season, as of this transfer window, we don't have even close to a title winning squad, no matter what formation or tactics we use, theres no chance at all now, I'm resigned to it not happening rather than praying for Wenger to actually change something throughout the year, its far less irritating.

I don't feel the same about Brentford, I know they can't do very well and its not frustrating when they don't get into the championship, just a little dissappointing.

THat and, I've been getting migraines more frequently lately....... more codeine :p

Are Scotland doomed if they don't win today?

EDIT: Ah damnit didn't see Jokester's post 3 posts up. :p
