Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

Just a heads up, if you want to play "Southern Region" map (which is free) you now need the Italia DLC, which is paid. I am rather annoyed now as I have been using that for a while.. :(

Can someone help setting up 3 x 24inch monitors? The monitors are all flat, no in a 'V' or anything

I've got the monitors working in ETS2 with multimon 2 set but I don't know how to get everything to center

Been a while! Hope it's OK to post here after all this while, I didn't really want to start a new thread dedicated for this.

Promods 2.43 is now realised, Road to the black sea is NOT needed, the rest are.

Following my posts in the ATS thread, I finally got around to updating and getting ETS2 working. I'd not touched it for about eighteen months so was well out of date on just about everything.

I bought the new DLC, installed the latest Pro Mods and after working out what was causing the crashes, I've been for a drive. Trailers have been introduced since I last drove this so I bought one and tricked it all out. What a palaver that was. I bought a big double trailer and took a drive around Finland. Perhaps I should have bought a smaller one because this was a pain through the small towns and don't talk to me about the mini-roundabouts!

I'm still driving my Scania. @Scania would be proud of me :D

Lots of new areas to explore so I'll spend some time over the next few days heading to the new regions.

The thing is, with 50 garages and 250 drivers, I'm not short of cash. On the 620km drive I just did, I watched my money go up by around €350,000 to just over €11,000,000. Nice.

I've already sold that stupid trailer and will go back to how I was before... I do need to look into how I can buy trailers for my employees though or if there's actually any benefit in doing that.

Yeah, once you get couple drivers money stops being a problem.
I limited myself to just one other driver, to make it more interesting. And any time cash goes over 300k I buy a garage or switch my truck.

Even so, the red light and speeding fines are too small.

I've always wanted them to do more on the business side of things, a mini game type thing with overtime or agency drivers, mechanics or upgrading your warehouse to be able to cater for larger shipments, a warehouse with a dock or something.

After a few drivers and a few warehouses I just get a bit bored and find myself driving with no real purpose.

It's now my 3rd most played game on steam. I got out of the achievement game years ago but for some reason I want to get all of them on this one.... And the irony is because of that I can't buy any more dlc (the 100% roads driven gets harder with each expansion) so that achievement it keeping me from buying the lot.

Currently have all the dlc except the last 3

Fired this up after a long run on ATS (was missing the twisty European roads) adding Baltic DLC.
Like Feek, discovered they'd added ownable trailers, but opted for the steerable tri-axle trailer - really useful as has got me out of some REALLY tight spots!
Money is no issue, so my imposed goals are to visit every city in the Baltic region, before heading off on long trip from Pori to Palermo - I like the changing sunset/sunrise times (not so pronounced in ATS for obvious reasons), as well as the changing scenery - 2am up in Pori is still quite bright!

Are some owned trailer types more profitable than others? eg, curtainsiders vs refrigerated?

Absolutely loving ETS2, not been playing it long though, with only 10 hours playtime so far. Some screenshots :D

Fired this up, due to lockdown lack of driving...discovered operation Genoa community event
A simple case of multiple trips between Genoa and Turin, including back hauls, and quickly got myself a new truck skin as a reward :)

The only thing that stops me from keep returning to this is how difficult it is to set up the controls. I use a Logitech G920 and Have a cannibalised Xbox controller attached to the stick shifter for range changing and splitting. But I can't always have them on my desk so regularly disconnect. PC never remembers the proper settings so I have to go through the controls every time I re-visit the game.
