Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

Weeble, does the just play mod add any addon physics, or can i use the others that are out there, ive just put TSM and just play on my game and the sheer number of countrys now its like a whole new game lol.

:D Does feel like a whole new game. Assume your using ETS2v1.4.8 and TSMv3.5 - does it crash/slow down when you get to cities?

RE: physics, I don't think it does, although tbh I haven't noticed. Nor have I added any - if you do, just get the right amount of prefixing zzzz's to the mod file.

That's very similar to how I set mine up, with a few changes.

I have left stick down for my clutch, X and Y are my shift buttons (shoulder for indicators), A is my cruise control, and my dpad has different directions, but is mostly the same function.

I just use enter and T for the accept and trailer, since they are never urgent.

That config allows me to go to sequential gears when I feel like it, while still keeping automatic functional for the long journeys.

Question: do the indicators actually affect the AI, or are they just for fun? They don't seem to take much notice when I need to change lanes!

I use this:

RT - Accelerate
LT - Brake/reverse
RB - Light modes
LB - Engine on/off

DPad Up - Interior View
DPad Down - Chasing View
DPad Left - Indicator Left
DPad Right - Indicator Right

LS - Horn
RS - Wipers
Back - Detach/attach trailer
Start - High beam lights

A - Cruise control
B - Parking brake
X - Toggle side mirrors
Y - Activate
 
I am trying out this xbox 360 controller layout, you need the Pinnacle Game Profiler software to use it, but you get a free 20 day trial, so it's worth giving it a go.

I like to play in the comfort of my bed and this profile pretty much does away with the need for a keyboard, i will probably purchase the software when the trial is up, plus there are loads of profiles for 100s of games :cool:

I'm also unsure of this, on the motorway when I've indicated with a car coming up fast, I've noticed that on most occassions the car slows down so I can move across, however on two occasions when I've not indicated and the cars been bombing it in the lane, they've actually not slowed down and just hit the back of the trailer :confused:

generally, pulling out slowly seems to make them slow down, but I don't know if the indicators help or not.
 
Yeah you may be right there, I don't bother anyway :D

Is there a way to enable vibration on the 360 gamepads at all? I've got the option ticked but it doesn't work.

if you drive onto the white lines when changing lane they will slow down for you :)
