Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

LOL it's strangely satisfying hauling a load and dropping it off after a long drive. I flipped the lorry the first drive out by taking a bend too quickly, and then again when the steering didn't turn fast enough coming out of a bend and I clipped the barrier.

On my Scania lorry, there's an upgrade option for a more expensive gearbox, what benefits will this give me? I can't quite see what it does in game.

the flatbed trailers are the best for speeding around corners, you can get away with a lot with those (pressure tanks, vent tube, forklifts/diggers) the tanker trucks are the worst for flipping over and the square box type trailers are in the middle

I am hugely addicted, especially since I bought my first truck (Volvo). Bloomin dented the thing good and proper getting it back to my garage though! Only got about 80k to my name thus far and find it very calming to play, especially with London-Magic's radio station in the background during the late nights :)

Ok I got this today and have to say it's a pretty damn addictive. I started out doing some gun for hire deliveries and when the bank offered me some cash i took out the 100k loan and got me a brand new Iveco (sp?) and now have my own garage and cab :-). No drivers yet or upgrades to the garage but I am slowly making progress. I been playing for about 2 hours so far.

Currently doing a Dover to Carlisle run. Half way through it so far.:-)

My bete noir are the gravel/sand trailers. They flip over ridiculously easily.

Stubby tankers for me in vanilla, regardless of 4x2 or 6x4 config.

Still running v1.31 with TSMv2.2 and Custom AI Realistic Traffic Mod, but just noticed TSMv3.5 was released yesterday:

"The following countries are included: Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Slovenia, Croatia, Albania and Greece, in Northafrica you can travel to Egypt.

Compared to the original map, 107 new cities have been added, so that you've got overall target locations of 180 cities now"

Custom AI Realistic Traffic Mod doesn't seem to get much attention now :(

Anyone tried TSMv3.5 with ETS2v1.48 yet?

Quoted for the truth! :D
HAHAHAHAHAHA yes we have another, wait till you have had it a few months and are able to step away from it then you think "ooh that mod looks good I wonder what that's like" 6 hours later "AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH HOW HAS IT SUCKED ME BACK IN?"

It is crack cocaine!

Where can you download the 3.5 map, I will try it........

Here you go...backup your profile first
http://www.trucksim-map.com/database/ets2-downloads/maps/25-tsm-map-3-5/index.html

No JustPlay mod yet, but company and trailerskin-pack can be individually downloaded.

Just hope it doesn't crash for you when driving into cities like a couple of the previous versions did

Edit:
Just play the mod is done ... Just Play Mod Map for TSM 3.5

Companies are included
Approx: 300 skins for trailer
Mercedes star
Changed wurdern penalties
ca: 1500 penalty if the rest period was not observed
No additional trucks that come individually
Weather and temperatures adapted to the summer
dieverse new engines and attachments

and much more .... drive a lot of fun ....

Got another silly question, can you mod in drug lords? Like, the ability to secretly cargo large drug shipments for drug cartels for big profit but high risk?

Have been using the JustPlay mod with TSMv2.2 for ages...get to tow loads of different cargoes - tanks, trains, tractors, combines etc and the AI does too. Chipped and tuned engines too - eg, Scania's are good for 840 odd hp.

'No additional trucks that come individually' - not sure what that means (google translate) but my version has the Merc MPIV, Peterbilt and some weird Scania concept truck, all drivable by both yourself and AI.
