Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

Had a quick blast of this earlier after picking up the going east pack in the steam sale. Has there been any updates recently as I had 2 vehicles pull out of side roads and hit me, never happened before.

Not for AI there hasn't been any updates, but there is a huge AI overhaul coming in 1.9.

I enjoy this but the AI does need work. it has always been a dodgy, iv been hit a few times as if the AI ignores see you. havent played for a few months though

tbh i dont use any mods and still enjoy it. lots of content and it seems the expansion is good though not had time to try it yet.

Nabbed this in the Steam sale with the Going East pack for like £4 or something daft and been having a blast with it. Currently level 15 or so with a large garage with 4/5 driver slots filled, still using the bog standard Renault truck from the beginning lol sunk all my cash in to expanding as much as possible.

Does anybody know of any good sites for mods or got a must have mods list per chance?

For mods i just use the TSM map, good fun driving down to north Africa/Greece/Italy.

One of the things that I find most annoying is when you're trying to take a tight corner or reversing and the AI sticks on your ass making it near impossible without ramming them out the way.

Really hope they improve on that in the AI update.

Succumbed and bought it yesterday with the east pack.

Enjoying it a lot with my G25 wheel and pedals.

Anyone managed to get it running on 3 screens without stretch ? Was going to give SoftTH a go on this to see what happens.

I have not even tried to get this running on 3 screens tbh, usually when Im driving around I have a youtube video on one of my other screens

How are peoples companies coming along? I have 3 drivers and two of them make around £2k per day but the other only manages around £300, I sacked my previous two drivers who both kept making around the same. Maybe im doing something wrong?

Did you leave their training on "Balanced"? I usually get them through the ADR and then Long Distance - this usually gets their income a lot higher!

I did them on long distance to start then moved onto others but dont think i even touch adr, will put them all on it and let you know if it makes a difference.

Has anyone got a massive company with a few garages and loads of drivers?

most irritating thing is AI drivers causing accidents and crashing into your, or closing in on your turning arc

I can't recall where they are, I can't say which is best either as I bought them all at different times. I'll try and see tomorrow what I can find.

In an old save(before I added to steam) I had 7 garages and 17 drivers and I was earning around 38k a trip they were at around 9k well the highest was at 9k the lowest was still in the hundreds then they all kept coming back empty so I bought the DLC and have started again. Magic & ETS2 is a winner!

I think this game still needs a license system where you pick up points for wreckless driving, actual competing companies would be good and being able to buy used trucks(like make an offer on the truck you are using to do a job)

I am yet to see the DLC as I keep going on jobs by profit per mile and have been stuck in the UK for 6 jobs!
