Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

How is Going East btw? Had a quick glance at it before but it didn't seem like it added much. Is it just like a couple new cities in the far eastern European countries?
 
Played a 'mission' on my friends pc and got very annoyed at how I struggled to park the lorry! (Damn brain do the opposite of what you think!) Also didn't help that he could do it first time every time.

So seeing how it was £3.74 I bought it and I can at least park the thing now :D

Took out 500k worth of loans and have begun paying it back.

Really liking it with the trackir. Using the mouse/keypad was a pain in the arse.

Edit: As other have said, a suggestion for mods welcome!
 
Got myself to level 10 now and put a few upgrades on my truck. much better with a bigger engine. Looking at getting a bigger garage so i can increase my fleet.

Have managed to install a mod that makes the scenery more realistic. Looks much better now. Seems to be loads that change all the trailer and truck skins. Anyone recommend one?
 
I just fired this up again after a year away and upgraded to latest patch.

I notice my AI driver log no longer shows his destinations.
Not a big issue guess.

The main problem is he earns next to nothing, I'm pulling in nearly 37.08 per mile and he's earning 6.08 per mile.

How can I improve his performance?
 
You can't. They get better with training, that's it. Doesn't even make a jot of difference what truck you give them at the moment.

Patch will wipe out all recent job data and repopulate the jobs list. The log should start working again in a few game days.

I sunk a load of time into it last weekend, but once I got to level 14 it became a complete chore to level up further. I was basically driving from the UK to Poland and back constantly for the big cash rewards.
 
SCS wrote their own graphics engine rather than pulling one off the shelf. Crossfire/SLI not supported to my knowledge. They're a tiny company in the scheme of things so it's probably way down the wish list.

Thanks, I've had him quite a while and I don't see any improvement.
I did sack one before as he was even worse.

Most of the time he seems to be sleeping or driving empty.
 
Thanks for the trailer pack. Any other mods to add and change the cars that are driving about?

As you say, a nice stress reliever. Just put the radio on and drive through the night.
 
Might start playing this again, got the going east pack in the sale, anything other than that i should grab, i did have realistic physics mod but cant find it anymore, and various others like realistic seating position etc
