Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

I think this game still needs a license system where you pick up points for wreckless driving, actual competing companies would be good and being able to buy used trucks(like make an offer on the truck you are using to do a job)

I am yet to see the DLC as I keep going on jobs by profit per mile and have been stuck in the UK for 6 jobs!

Some sort of license system would be awesome.

I need to look into adding some mods to keep my interest up :D

is there a mod that changes the m/ph to km/ph automatically when crossing over to europe? i'm too lazy to go to options every time lol :P or is there a magical setting i don't know about?

Does anyone know where I can add the upgraded exhausts, I see options for mirrors, wheels, paint and more but nothing for exhausts.

Also I thought using the third lane on the motorway wasn't legal in the UK.

I'd also like to see some improvements, harder parking challenges and rougher roads.
I'd also like to see a sort of black market aspect.

Deliveries that you can't make without speeding but pay a huge bonus.
Option to try and smuggle objects but if get caught you pay a large fine.
To keep the pressure on remove the save option while on those sort of runs so if you are caught you have to go back to the start of the run.

There is so much more that could be added to this game.

Sat nav with voice and better sounds all around, I'd like to here a little more form the tyres and trailer.

The snap point is under the side skirts between the front and rear wheels. There's no vertical "smoke stacks" that I'm aware of without modding.

Ah, makes sense. I tend to use 4x2 chassis with the skirts. Most of the 6x2 and 6x4 chassis don't have the skirt options for unknown reasons. I was hoping the new Scania and Volvo would have the option.

Well been having a blast with this.

Did normal jobs until I got about 120k and then bought a 560 bhp Volvo to start my own company / truck.

I too have had cars pull out of junctions on me. I guess it is because I am doing 60+ mph and they don't judge the speed when they make the decisin to pull out.

Also getting a bit annoyed of cars parked on slip roads to motorways waiting to join the motorway as if it were a junction. Massive tailbacks of all the vehicles.

Overall, loving the game so fair, but not sure how much mileage :) will be left in it as I buy more trucks and garages. Might just get too repetitive.

Playing with my G25 wheel and pedals I use for Iracing.

Tried to get SoftTH to run 3 screens, but the game won't have it

most irritating thing is AI drivers causing accidents and crashing into your, or closing in on your turning arc

Sounds pretty true to real life trucking - sadly for me!!

No, I don't play this much, or you could say I play an extreme realism mod,get a C+E license and away you go!!! :D

A few things to keep this interesting....

Learner drivers in the AI.
Real weather via internet.
Tacho Discs.
Making your trip without GPS to get more XP
Pure open world so you can go which way you like.

I picked this game up on Sunday from game, It was only a tenner and it also included the add-on pack. I must say it is brilliant. I love Simulation games and the only truck game I have played before is UK Truck Simulator.

I'm not that far into the game yet as I have spent a lot of time trying to do some skins for my trucks but to no avail. Only problem I find with the game is the AI is a tad unrealistic.

Next year and I can apply... 5 years and I can get a job with it :p @Trucking Diaries on youtube whos a member (Sam Millar) plays this a bit. Drives an ex-stobby scania (or did) :)

e; Tacho discs wont work in this game, 4 hours blasts past. And so does the actual 15/30 minute break.

I picked this game up on the sale price and so far it is amazing!

When looking left and right when you're in cockpit view, is there any way to make the camera automatically return to central position?

you can assign a button in keyboard controls to "interior look forward" and that will reset it, it might even be default as num 5

[edit] oops didn't read automatically :p

Just bought myself a new FH16 as my "classic" fh16 was on about 100k so thought id treat myself seeing as the company is earning over 2 million a week.
