Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

FINALLY DID MINIMAXER :D

I found this tactic worked best..
Started new profile, got some levels and applied skills as follows:
ADR: 6 (MAX)
Long Distance: 1 (no more)
High Value Cargo: 1 (This didn't really matter I found)
Fragile Goods: 1 (important)
Just in time: 2 (needed to unlock those Urgent jobs)
ECO: 0 (doesn't matter at all)


Finding a job:
Always use quick jobs as you will never be able to get right jobs from your truck unless you console it (which I didn't do so not sure if console may break achievement)

3 things to look for: ADR+FRAGILE+URGENT>>> (important>> is fine but you will just about get double)
Job must also be greater then 155 miles to get long distance bonus (I know this achievement works in KM but game will still give you 1 exp per KM Base)
You must drive the full 155 Mile (250 KM) crossing the boarder distance doesn't count
MANUAL PARK this will give you +45 exp and is very important
Don't take any damage (at all)
Don't take a delivery that's too long (keeping your long Distance at level 1 will help prevent this)
Check after each job that you are actually getting double, to do this check your base exp earning (first line) 1 KM = 1 exp, then check your total at the bottom to make sure it is double this figure, repeat until you get achievement :)


It took me 22 hours of gameplay to do this from fresh start, the total exp I ended up with was about 37000 so I guess that the first 17000 was time spend leveling skill to get correct jobs and final 20,000 was towards achievement itself

I think I am actually using that RUSMAP I don't why I called it Rusmod :)

its RusMap_1.4.8, got it from a different site to that one buts it the same map I think, im using it with the TSM Map pack together as they don't clash which is good
 
Taking a break from Russia now to do this convoy with SGT Pepper if anyone wants to watch or join we are on US1 server

Seems the multiplayer mod I had was a little out-dated as I last used it in November (early alpha), so went to download again. Had to re-register on the site, and got in a bit of a username password pickle which eventually sorted out after resetting a couple of times. An hour or so later and I was on.

At least now I don't have to lock to a specific version of the game in steam, but other trucks can be quite laggy (more so than I remember) perhaps due to users ISP's/ping. Traffic lights changing were quite slow too. Mod links nicely to steam too.

Usual shenanagins with driving standards, but a laugh none the less. Will join a short convoy tonight I think - might buy a new DAF as have over 5 million as well...
 
EU1 has been having problems with desync and lag, try the US1 server until they fix it, a lot of convoys have started hosting on US1 because of how bad EU1 is
 
Hi just reinstalled this but when using a g25 at 900 or 757deg. When I turn at the end of the turn the steering jumps to full lock. Like the last 200deg is instant on or off.
Any ideas ?

Is the wheel set as a gamepad in the game options, I had a similar issue with my CSR wheel
 
Im doing a long delivery from the Russian boarder to a place near Rome in italy on twitch if anyone wants to watch I am taking a break now to eat so will be setting back off in about 20 minutes, right now its on the map screen so you can see the route
