Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

Got a problem with the TSM mod, I got to Italy and the game crashes when I find a new garages its happened in 2 city's I have tried so far

Tried the TSM mod a long while ago, which was good, but then found ProMods which I found superior. Granted they cover different areas, but I found ProMods more polished and is still in my mod list.

That Truckers map looks good - tempted to find a Kenworth K100 or K200 mod to go with it. If only my mouse wasn't drowned yesterday :(

Truckers map is very good, but very big. At least twice the size of the main game, but be warned that many of the cities, layouts etc are copy pasted.

Found the problem I was using the wrong version of TSM, I am downloading 5.4 now so game should work fine when I apply updated files :)

Both map packs were working fine together but when I got to a [?] place on the TSM part of the map it crashed, I have also found that running the 32 bit version of the game helps greatly with the loading times

Been sinking way too many hours into this game lately, finally downloaded Goba's Russian Map mod and wow just wow, the thing is huge, travelled half of it so far and the terrain differences, road blocks, road bumps and stuff is great, adds a great depth to the game. Definitely worth having a play through. Its a shame its not compatible with the original game, that would make for a huge map and fun deliveries.

Is there a recommended mod list? Just tried this recently quite impressed with the handling and graphics. Would be great if the city modelling and roads was a bit more accurate but maybe too much to ask of a budget game really.

There's not a recommended mod list as far as I'm aware but here are a couple of websites I use for mods

http://ets2downloads.com/

http://ets2mods.org/

Edit: Jazzycat's mods are good, they can add new cars, trailers, trucks (traffic) etc.
Brutal HD mod is good, makes it look more HD
TSM Map is good, ProMods map is good too, RusMap etc

The Nice thing about ProMods is it also makes quite a few tweaks to the existing map area as well as expanding it.

I got JAY Z working for my company :)

I havn't bought the DLC yet not sure if its worth £13.59

Bought it. Made my way into Holland. Shall see if there's any jobs to take me to Scandinavia or if not, i'm just driving to it. :)

Just me, or do the AI when they're ahead not realise when you're changing lanes? Indicating or not, if they're also coming over, they're coming over. Fired a Merc over two lanes and wiped out a Golf. :(

I'm very impressed with this DLC, I really like the improvements they have introduced. The map has so much more detail.

I think it is worth the money just to support SCS as they are very good when it comes to keeping this game updated and communication of what they are doing through their blog which a lot of other developers don't do.

I love ETS2 but haven't played it in a while so do not think the DLC is worth that much to me, in comparison I can get an entire game in Wolfenstein the new order at pretty much the same price.
