My thoughts exactly. The ones who carry on working are the worst type though.

I suspect they'll probably spend a million or two and the rest will just fester in the bank until they die. My nan was a bit like that, before she died she had £50k in the bank but was still really frugal and careful with her money, even if she'd had £20m in there she would have still been the same.

Alan Sugar, and others like him, have a valid reason to carry on working. Some people like keeping on top of the empire they've built. Sugar has spent his life getting to where he is so I guess in his mind he wants to make sure that his work remains exactly how he wants it until his last breath.

Other people also like the idea of being able to do something but have the financial aspect to see their projects through. Some people just don't fancy sitting around doing nothing and buying everything. Actually making a difference, giving people jobs, doing something useful etc!

I know I'd want to work by building my own business and looking at ways to branch out and become bigger through acquisitions and whatnot.

Then there are people who get into money and spend it all racing crash caes in their garden, drugs, hookers, being fooled by friends/family and also people who just want to sit on it until they're dead like that elderly couple :p


People are different, deal with it!
 
Bought 2 tickets for tonight, used the website and played one of the instant win games for a £1 and won £2 :)
