Euromillions

They just need some time to understand what their enormous fortune can now get them, it will probably take a while to adjust, they could have a fleet of chauffeur driven Q7s if they wanted ;)

I doubt they would get found if their first thought is to purchase an Audi Q7.

There first thought was to share it with all their friends. So yes they would be found. It is mpossibel too keep sch a win private.
It's not as if they aren't given expert advice either on how to deal with it and what to expect.

A Q7 was probably their "dream car" when they were both working, they are living their dream, doesn't mean there isn't a better dream just around the corner!

You can spend 90 grand a week and not eat into your capital if you simply stuck the whole lot in a bank account at 3% interest.

:o

They could wait a while and simply state that they won the normal lottery or something.

Didn't previous winners go into hiding after being harassed by random people? How is that controlled? :\

People keep saying this, but the media being the media will find you. It's impossible to keep such a win private. At least this is a controlled situation.

True, I always say I wouldn't want to go public but there's always going to be some jealous family member/friend/neighbour/work colleague that would be willing to drop your name for a couple of quid from the media. It would be nigh on impossible to keep it secret forever where you live. I'd be buggered by the curtain twitcher across from me straight away. I suppose it's what we've all got to look forward to in our twilight years :D

How they going to do that, whilst giving large sums to friendss and family.

There's aso a huge difference between 2mill and 148mill how you going to hide that?
You going to keep doing your normall job for afew months to hide it, then spemd the rest of your life to scared to spend money as you don't won't to be found. 2mill buys very little in the grand scheme of things. 148mill on the other hand, allows you to do pretty much anything.

But now they're advertising it to the whole country. Hope they don't have family that are willing to hire hitmen :\

Easy, don't give large sums to family :) trickle it down. I guess all your families all get along and do not get jealous?

People change very quickly when money is involved.

By giving your friends smaller sums over a longer period.
I'm sure if you really wanted to, you could hide the actual sum you won.

Of course a load of people would know you "won some" but no one would know if you kept a low profile with the winnings.
Obviously turning up with a Zonda R or something would give the game away but a Q7... I wouldn't think twice about some neighbours buying one of them.

Why wouldn't you give huge sums of money to family/friends.
You aren't going to hide it, your better of accepting that and dealing with the consequences rather than worrying when your name will be splashed acrroos the paper and not doing what you truly want too do.

Remember they get expert advice on what to do.

Simply paying off loads of mortgages would make a huge difference for a lot of people.

Define huge sums? Would it be wise to give lots of people over £1 million? Probably not, reading up on it, I'm pretty sure that a lot of people's lives have been ruined by winning large sums of money.

I know for a fact that it some of my extended family won a huge sum that I would not get a penny - whether I would do the same or not remains to be seen, I'd think about it if I were ever to win.

Expert advice can only go so far, everyone is different, no set of friends and family are the same, you have no idea how most people will act in this sort of situation. Hence why people have had to go into hiding, been held at ransom by gangs and have had 'hits' put out on them.

I think you're over estimating the media's desire to uncover or expose lottery winners that wish to remain anonymous, it's not like in the early days when it was new and the first few winners were headline news.

You could probably buy one of those high-court injunction thingies if it came to it?
