European Grand Prix 2012, Valencia - Race 8/20

No he wasn't, he ALSO got caught out by the kerb AFTER he turned onto it. He was off the track, had he made the pass it wouldn't have counted as he used going off the track as an advantage. He had all four tyres off the track you never, ever, ever turn back onto a track in that situation he was turning right to come back onto the track in a left turn, that is suicidal and absolutely mental.

He was turning left, the kerb made him go straight, so yes he was caught out by the kerb which caused the accident. He never turned right to come back onto the track.

Which he shouldn't have been doing because Lewis was in the racing line and ahead. He should have cut the corner after realising he'd gone too deep to make it stick

I guess there may have been a point earlier on when he first went wide that he could have bailed out. However it did look like he was trying to turn left and pull out of it at the point he first hits Lewis, so yeah, probably realised too late to act either way.

Why did Maldonado steer onto the kerb when he had the option to run wide and rejoin the track behind Hamilton? Because he's an idiot, that's why.

NO HE DIDN'T. It's not difficult, he was turning left WHEN he got onto the kerb, he was OFF THE TRACK and turned right to even get on the kerb to start with. He turned right after being off the track THEN turned left on the kerb.

He came out of the previous corner off the track and NOT in line with the kerb, he turned right to get stuck on the kerb, what he did on the kerb is completely and utterly irrelevant, his decision to come back on the track is what stuck him on the kerb in the first place.

Oh look, complete and utter proof, exactly that was the point(actually just after) he was completely off the track and CHOSE to go right and ended up stuck on the kerb, when off the track the ONLY option for any sensible driver was left and cutting the corner.

That is the decision that is just mental, he was off the track, missed the corner, don't forget when he turned right there, there was no room on the track for his car at all, he turned right with no possible outcome but hitting Hamilton. He's a psycho, completely.

If he never turned right then how did he end up on the kerb that supposedly made him go straight when prior to that he was completely off the track with all 4 wheels?

Magic?

Was the steering wheel in his car pointing to the right merely an optical illusion?

I don't really care, the end result was good anyway :D

Once he was completely off the track he then steered right back towards the track and got stuck on the kerb. when he should have been turning left to skip the corner and rejoin behind hamilton. It was 100% Pastafaces fault

It's not irrelevant, because it means that he did not anticipate not being able to turn when he got onto the kerb. It's important because it means he wasnt trying to ram Hamilton deliberately (and why would he?). What it does show is very poor judgment.

I like grojean, always seems to be in a good mood.... Even after possibly losing first place to a mechanical failure.
